Bookstore is slightly out of the tourists way, which makes it a great spot to rest and get out of the Hustle and bustle of the pike area. The drinks are good and expertly made, but the food can be improved.
Bookstore Bar & Cafe inside the Royal Sonesta Alexis Seattle is perfect for guests of the hotel, but it's also a quaint stop for taking a break on 1st Street. During our stay at the Alexis, we enjoyed cocktails and espresso from the bar but also snacks each time we came back to the room for the night.
Honestly, I've had a better Manhattan at a dive bar and for less than half the price. The food was also mid--minus the Brussels sprouts--they were good. Def don't come here for the cocktails as they are over priced. We came at night and had dinner/drinks. Maybe it's a better casual day time brunch/lunch spot, but for the price, I wish we went somewhere for a cool, vibey dinner spot. The vibe was weird because there was smooth music and dim lighting but also ESPN...
