Been here once and impressed. Ordered the special, soup and sandwich, who’d guess. M ore filling than bread; fresh tasting focaccia style bread, fresh tomato and greens, all good things! Soup was good. They have 12+ soups on hand. My clam chowder was perfect. Usual style chowder, wasn’t watery or overcooked so perfect.
If you want soup with variety of accompaniments this place fits the bill.
It’s the least flashy place there so both days very little line.

It’s a cold day in downtown Seattle and something felt very right about ordering a tuna melt - and Soup & Ladle delivered! At a great price too. Looking forward to trying one of the many soups on offer.
the curry is delicious and well priced!
Salty, just dressing, weird texture.
I have eaten here several times, and was pleased with the portion size. I got two "mains" and a "side" for $9.99 (plus tax and optional tip). I like their chicken katsu which has a great dipping sauce. I also liked their spicy beef and their chicken curry. All in all, they are fast, with good food, good portions, and good prices.
The chicken looked and tasted a bit strange and the broccoli was cold.
Love the food!
Chicken Katsu is cheap, delicious, and large enough for two meals. On cold rainy days, beef noodle soup is the way to go.
Eric Banh, chef of Ba Bar, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Steamed duck.
