The large bowl was small... and mostly filled with white rice. The sauce was very good, though.

Cafè yuck. Are you Asian or Mexican? Not very good at either so you should pick one and try to be less Café Suck.I went the Asian route and ordered kids' teriyaki chicken. Was greeted with a bunch of dark meat. All kids love chicken thigh! Thanks, Café won't impact your Tumm!At least it cost me a nice $17. Stinko! If I were Café Yumm in a WWE rumble, I would have immediately thrown myself out of the ring. Drew Carey has better odds than this dump . Find another chicken.

First of all, when I entered the store, I was bombarded with of cheap fake Mexican food. Than, when I ordered, they had nothing, they ran out of tortillas. I was forced to get a quesadilla without a tortilla. The service was quick, however they seemed very bored. It had a confusing atmosphere, and made me feel very uncomfortable. They served me cold pre packaged cheese with flour, and avocado and tomato with cilantro on top. The sides they gave me were pathetic at best, they put them in the bowl to make it look like it was bigger than it is. If you go here, you will be charged for a full meal, but end up getting an appetizer. Really disappointing. Even the water was disappointing, it gave me a massive stomach ache and I feel like I have food poisoning. This restaurant single handily ruined my day.

Portions are TINY. Sooooo tiny. Good, but like maybe 2 bites of food. The small bowl would not be enough to satisfy a very small child. Maybe 1/4 cup of rice in the small bowl - and that’s a generous estimate.

Casual eatery that serves bowls, soups and wraps. The dishes could be customized to make them vegetarian friendly or plant based. Ordered a Large Smoky Bowl for lunch. As mentioned in other reviews, the portions are indeed small but the ingredients seemed fresh and healthy. Wasn't a filling meal which wasn't what I was expecting given that it was supposed to be a large bowl. There's indoor as well as outdoor seating and the staff is courteous.

$19 for a chicken bowl. Too pricey and didn't think I got value for my money. Better alternatives near by so skip this place.

I am from Eugene so I've been eating at Yumm! Cafe since they opened 16 years ago. The food in Eugene is amazing. I now live in Seattle and was excited to see this location open. Sadly, they have some work to do. The bowls are way more expensive than they are in Eugene...up to $3 more if you get a small. I get that rent is more expensive in Seattle...overhead in general. I might not be bothered by the price if the food was actually good. When you make food like this you have to get every item right. Every time I have tried this location the rice is so overcooked that it's mush. It's really gross. The last two times I have had to ask for a side of Yumm! sauce because there is almost none on there. My friend also had to request some because it looked like they forgot it altogether on her order. Also, in Eugene they give you a heaping portion...this location does not. That alone will be the end of this location if they don't correct it. Beans and rice are not expensive items. The other issue is they are perpetually understaffed. The last time I went in the person behind the register was also making the food. If the owner doesn't want to staff the back because they are worried about overhead then the owner needs to be in there preparing food. I am willing to give them one more chance but after that I will just wait until I go to Eugene and in the meantime make my Yumm! bowls at home.

Portland cafe yumm is absolutely amazing! I was shocked to see my favorite place to eat be so disappointing in seattle. The portion is tiny and prices are not worth it. Also doesn’t help when your employees aren’t very friendly. Should’ve read the comments first, it would’ve saved me $14 on a “medium” bowl.

Shockingly small portions!!! I ordered a Large bowl as I was hungry. It came in a tiny, shallow bowl. Portion size appropriate for a 6 year old.Taste was good. Way too expensive for what you get, felt like a total rip-off.

First time here and the only one! Small portion. Even people laugh when they learned about the salad bowl. The southwest salad supposed have green leaf and this one has rice...haha sorry is not a salad.

I am in Seattle for a work conference and came here upon suggestion. The food was good though small for the price while still coming out quickly for how busy it was during my visit. The cashier was wearing earphones in both ears, which my group and I found off-putting, however overall I enjoyed my bowl and will visit again when I am in the city in May.

Food is amazing and its my fave place to goBut for the first time ever at 7:08 (22 min before closing) they refused to take any orders and after not eating any food all day this was devastating. A regular, local customer denied service well before an appropriate cut off.Just skip it if you are in a pinch.Businesses are businesses and this was a reminder that compassion runs in short supply sometimes.

I stopped to eat here because I was starving from walking around all day. I ordered chips and a large Smoky Bowl, which wasn't very large. It tasted fine until I got to the bottom, where the brown rice, sour cream, and sauce combined into a truly nauseating flavor and texture. I couldn't finish it. Another worker meanly addressed the cashier while she was taking my order; I did not appreciate his attitude. My order totaled $24. For that much, I would've rather gotten Chipotle.

One of my favorite places to order from in a pinch that doesn't break the bank. I like how customizable the yumm bowls are. They have great gluten free and vegan options and their yumm sauce is so delicious, I've even bought it at Whole Foods!
