A small cafe that specializes in non-alcoholic spirits, craft coffee, and absolutely lovely bakery and small bites. The atmosphere is welcoming and adult. Around the side by the bus bins there are a few thematic coloring books and pencils, origami instructions and paper, and freely available water. Coffee slaps, the menu is so amazingly unique given Cardoon’s roots, the staff is amazing and their toffee chocolate chunk cookies are the best cookie in the Seattle area. Maybe Washington state. Visited this lovely cafe in Ballard! Heard it’s a German-Chinese fusion spot with creative flavors. We ordered the savory brick toast with zucchini, Chinese sausage, cream cheese, and a hint of cumin, such a unique and surprisingly delicious combination. Also tried their honey cake, which had a texture similar to cheesecake, light and satisfying.
