Tried the adobada, al pastor, and campechano tacos. I eat a lot of tacos, and will happily ride for hours to try a new place. These are really, really good tacos. Do yourself a favor, try some. Wish they had a larger space with seating.

As a Californian I’m usually quite picky about Mexican food. However Carmelo’s passed the test for having fantastic high quality food that tasted authentic and delicious. I ordered from them several times while in Seattle (chicken burrito/ chicken quesadilla were best) and loved it every time! Highly recommend it to all Seattle visitors!

SO GOOD. It's a small little place with a parking lot right next to it. I can't even tell you how good this was. The filling is the perfect amount and spread evenly so you're not getting a bite full of just avocado or chicken or just rice. Pretty good size as well. Haven't had the tacos yet but will def be back to try it again! No indoor seating

All of the food is amazing!!! The flavors just meld together perfectly, ESPECIALLY in the tacos that have pineapple. Literally mouthwatering!! I’m obsessed with their pickled carrots and salsa verde too. ?
We were really disappointed, based on the reviews we expected so much more. We called in an order, the man taking the call was very pleasant and understood me perfectly. Order was ready quickly and correct and it was an easy pay and pick up despite a line. There is a small parking lot next to take-out window. I saw some of the spots were pay to park. We split a campechano burrito without beans, an al pastor quesadilla, and a carne asada quesadilla with a side of rice. Rice was decent. Burrito was ok, I did not get any of the potato from the campechano mix in my half and there was very little meat (chorizo & steak). The quesadillas were a big disappointment. Half of the quesadilla was on top of the other half so it was pretty soggy. Way too much cheese and not melted very well. Again, very little meat on either. The Al pastor had way more pineapple than meat. The highlight of the meal was the Jamaica Agua Fresca beverage. I might even go back just for that. Maybe their tacos are better, but we are not big corn tortilla fans (they are supposedly house made) although I doubt they would have much meat-as that sadly seemed to be the theme in our meals. Our meals were just under $48 for an agua fresca drink, a burrito, 2 quesadillas and a side of rice.

Great tasting food and a great price... Always popular. Usually a wait, but not long. I'm a big fan of their Al Pastor. They have two locations, but this is the walk-up window location. This is always the place I go when I can't decide what I'm hungry for. It's close to me and it's easy to order food at their walk-up window. There is no seating, just a kitchen. You wait on the sidewalk for your take-out... Their other location in the Central District has some tables and more items on their menu.

Cheap good convenient food on cap hill. I've been coming here since it has opened and they haven't let me down for prolly near a hundred orders at this point. These weak reviews are out of their minds. KEEP FOOD ACCESSIBLE on cap hill. This place is great.
