I’m pretty sure this was the best burrito I’d ever had. And I eat a lot of burritos, probably at least once a week. It was filled with the perfect ratio of salsa verde, cheese, rice, beans, and that oh so delicious adobo chicken. I can only imagine their other offerings are quite tasty as well but the adobo chicken was SO GOOD. I also got their horchata and it was the perfect complement to wash down the slightly spicy kick of the burrito.
The Suadero tacos go crazy!! I have been ordering from Carmelo’s for years. Blessed that they are in my neighborhood. The house made corn tortillas can’t be beat.
I have been eating at Carmelos Tacos since 1992, when the neighborhood consisted mostly of parking lots, optimism, and at least one man repairing a bicycle in slow motion. Today it contains brunch opinions. Through all of this, Carmelos has maintained a disciplined refusal to complicate tacos.
