Cedar Tea House is the most comforting and welcoming spot! The staff are so friendly and make you feel right at home. Their tea is not only delicious but also so fresh and healthy, I can honestly say it’s the tastiest tea I’ve had. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy place with great vibes and amazing tea!

The Cedar Tea House is a cozy, vibrant, artsy, and warm neighborhood meeting ground. Upon entry, you are greeted with the fragrance of sage and chill music you can groove to. A small drink menu of one-of-kind tea combinations and mocktails makes this location one-of-a-kind. Along with fun seating options in the main entrance, there’s also a separate room with floor seating behind a beaded vail. You definitely want to stop by!

I’m still glowing from the moment I walked into Cedar Tea House—just a few hours after meeting owner Thalay Tran at my own business, Brain and Body Recess. Her energy was magnetic, and when I arrived to support through a friend’s introduction, I was met with pure magic.

The conservatory had been transformed into a hidden oasis—calm, welcoming, and sacred. Lanterns glowed warmly overhead, the atmosphere was both soothing and vibrant, and every detail reflected intention and care. The tea was flavorful, memorable, and healing—a sip that felt like medicine for the soul.

What makes Cedar Tea House unlike anywhere else is the depth of heart behind it.
• Thalay Tran infuses her healing journey and Plum Village mindfulness into every element of the space, creating a sanctuary of presence and peace.
• Hector Ayala brings cultural depth with his ceremonial kava offerings, served traditionally in tanoa bowls with coconut shells—an experience of ritual and connection.
• Alexia Parmer infuses the space with creative spirit, encouraging us to “come be weird, come be colorful,” ensuring Cedar Tea House is not just a lounge but a community alive with art, music, meditation, and storytelling.

This is more than tea—it is community, creativity, and care embodied. I left deeply restored, carrying the calm back with me to Brain and Body Recess where the evening found its perfect closing note.

Seattle is richer because of Cedar Tea House. It is a sobriety-friendly sanctuary, a creative hub, and a place to feel truly at home. I am proud to stand in unity with Thalay and her team—visionary business owners rooted in healing, culture, and love.

If you’re seeking an unforgettable experience—whether a late-night tea ritual, mindful connection, or simply an atmosphere that awakens the soul—Cedar Tea House is the destination. A place that will resonate not just for today, but for generations.

Excellent loose leaf tea selection, not to mention the comfortable, warm atmosphere. Hours fly by without realizing, simply perfect. Would rate higher if I could.

As we launched our soft opening in June- the teahouse has unfolded in a beautiful way. It’s a sober and inclusive space. Jazzy, ambient, or reggae music playing usually. Calming vibes and fun, communal atmosphere. Feels like a true community hub, yet offers spaces for tranquility as well. Great place to get creative, meet like-minded people, and fall into presence. 🙏🏽 Appreciate all the continual support and witnessing this collective dream/need come true 🤍 - From one of the co-creators ✨

What a beautiful 3rd place with such cool, friendly people. They have tea, mocktails, and kava, but no alcohol. Very laid back and fun. The night I was there, they were having an 80s dance in the second room, but I could still have a conversation in the tea room. Also have daytime events on their community calendar. A treasure!

absolutely love this place! There’s a warm, welcoming vibe from the moment you walk in—everyone is so kind, it feels like coming home.

They make drinks that are non-alcoholic, crafted with care so both kids and adults can enjoy something special. Each one is full of flavor and fun, like a little celebration in a glass.

Whether you're stopping by with family or just looking for a place to relax, this spot is a true gem. Friendly people, amazing drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

Beautiful, enchanting space with delicious non-alcoholic drinks, elixirs, and teas.

They’ve got an orange vibrant, sultry room with plenty of seats and activities to choose from like books, tarot, board games, and even instruments.

There’s also a lighter, calmer room full of yoga mats and floor seats if you’re looking for a more relaxing experience.

I would definitely go again! So cool to have a late night spot you can just chill at and is low-priced
