Really fun neighborhood theater with plenty of street parking. This is the place to go in Seattle if you want to catch an older film on a large screen. We went to see Alien (1979) and the custom preshow was hilarious. Try their spicy pickles!
The Central Cinema has a cozy, retro vibe with comfortable seating and tables for snacks. On a quiet Friday afternoon, it wasn’t too busy, making it easy to pick a spot. The staff were warm and attentive—Zoe even brought extra napkins without being asked. Food prices felt a bit high, but portions were generous, and the hot chocolate with Irish cream was a hit. AMBIANCE: 3.5. Small movie theater with counter seating facing the screen. Good acoustics.
SERVICE: 4.0. Only one person was working; she was sometimes running to make sure everyone (of about 20 spectators) received their orders in a timely fashion.
FOOD: 4.0. Pizza was surprisingly good. We brought in our own bottle of wine and paid a modest corkage fee.
