Had a great time at Central Saloon. The bartender’s name was Carly, and she absolutely crushed it. She had full control of the bar and handled a busy crowd with confidence, keeping service smooth and maintaining a great pace the entire time. She never once looked stressed. She kept the night entertaining and fun while still running a tight, well-managed bar. You can tell she’s experienced, professional, and genuinely great at what she does. That kind of bartending makes the whole place better and definitely makes me want to come back for more.

Great venue! One of the oldest in Seattle. The bar staff are really nice, and the music scene is always fun.
A key place in Seattle music history.
They provide earplugs, it gets loud. 🤘

Great place to go before the hawks game!
My neighborhood exploration took me to oldest part of the Seattle…Pioneer Square. For lunch I stopped into the Central Saloon. Establish in 1892, it lays claim to the “Seattle’s oldest saloon.” I have been to the saloon for concerts, and it is a fantastic venue for live music. Today I stopped in for lunch. I ordered the tomato soup with grilled cheese. Wow it was delicious! The soup was lightly flavored with basil and parmesan cheese. The perfectly grilled sandwich was filled with two kinds of cheese. The atmosphere was dark but inviting and filled with Seattle music history. The service was fantastic!

Tourist in Seattle. I tried to stop in for a beer at this bar, but even though I’m clearly over 21, blonde bartender refused to serve me and demanded my passport, saying it was state law. In a few other bars this wasn’t an issue at all, so if you’re visiting, better avoid this place. Maybe next time they’ll also want a Washington State tax return just to sell you a shot.

Nirvana played their first Seattle show here. The Sub Pop guys were in the crowd and thus began the relationship that gave us Bleach.

A place that takes you back time in a fast and changing world. It's awesome to see they're still places around that stick to their roots.
