Chan Seattle Reviews
The friendly staff made the meal very enjoyable. We had baby back ribs, wagyu beef, cuddly kale, beef tartare and a bottle of soju. The beef tartare was flavored with sesame oil and tasted very Korean influenced. The duck fried rice was also great!
Overall lovely and delicious!
The only downside is that you need to walk through the hotel lobby and upstairs to get to the restrooms.
Just the best! it was a food explosion on your taste buds. I highly recommend this place.

Chan Seattle is a modern Korean restaurant located in downtown Seattle. The food and service are generally impressive, with dishes like bone marrow, roasted cauliflower, wagyu sam, and duck standing out. The wild mushrooms and sot bap were delightful, and the mocktails are well-received. While some items, such as the duck and wagyu sam, are delicious and tender, the rice can be a bit of a letdown. The restaurant used to participate in the Seattle food fair, offering a three-course meal. The new location is not as cozy as the old one near the market but still maintains a nice atmosphere. Service is great, especially when staff are attentive and kind, as noted during a recent visit. The experience at Chan Seattle offers a mix of positive and negative feedback, with the unique cutlery and top-notch service being highlights. Wheelchair accessibility is good, but there is no on-site parking available. Some dishes can be hit or miss; for example, the fire roasted king prawn was tough and lacked seasoning, while the soy glazed potatoes were initially excellent but became overpowering. The Alaskan king salmon was tasty but smaller than expected, with not enough protein for two people, and the banchan was fairly average. The Basque cheesecake was a standout, enjoyed by many, with the strawberry ice cream adding to its appeal.
