Second place In Seattle that my family goes to often . It feels like a hole in the wall place but it's an atmosphere we enjoy. Loved everything. Well first thing I didn't love was the fried chicken in salty egg yoke. I might just not be a fan of salty egg yoke. It didn't have much

I have only order pick up so far. The food is amazing! This is by far my fav Chinese restaurant in this price range. Portion is really generous too. I have tried around 15 different dishes and so far everything is delicious! My fav is shredded pork with young bamboo shoots. The stinky tofu is really authentic so I love it but it is not for everyone for sure (this is a compliment!)

Had a great dinner there while visiting friends and attending a roller derby tournament while in Seattle. We ordered the family style Mandarin meal as well as some extra appetizers. 5 out of 5 stars stop by and enjoy some delicious food.

Food was alright and vibes were chill. The tea cups were stinky and they gave up new ones that were still stinky. They smell like their dish towel was getting quite stale. The service person smelled them and said she can’t smell the stink which was a little concerning. Eventually we got good ones from an empty table nearby. I believe the table next to us who came in after were also questioning their tableware.

The dim sum breakfast weekend special menu was subpar. We ordered multiple items from the menu and they were small in size and the taste was mediocre. The breakfast dim sum is way better in Seattle Chinatown or Vancouver.

Don’t let the outside of this restaurant fool you - it’s easy to drive by and not notice it, but I’m telling you, this is THE place. I fell in love with Chiang’s years ago when I lived in Maple Leaf, and now I drive over from Ballard at least once every couple of months to satisfy my desperate cravings for their pan fried noodles. They’re handmade, thick, just the right amount of chewy, and deliciously savory. Hands down, my favorite noodles in the city. One time while I was eating in during a slow time, the staff all sat down at a big table and ate a fantastic looking meal together, talking, laughing, sharing dishes, and having an all around good time. It made me feel so happy to see all the employees having so much fun together, taking a well deserved break, and enjoying their delicious food! That memory always sticks out to me about Chiang’s.I think the owner is the woman with the short hair who is usually at the front counter - and I ADORE her! She’s so sweet and hilarious. Every time I come in, she is a treat to chat with. She always gives me the most sincere compliments and I leave feeling so special with my giant bag of noodles.Love you, Chiang’s Gourmet! Don’t ever change!

I really liked it for lunch, it is very basic, I'll have to visit for dinner with company some night, I bet it's a different vibe. The food wasn't really that great and the atmosphere isn't either. I wasn't expecting it to be. It's affordable Chinese-American style. It was exactly what I wanted. Hot tea, soup starter, entree, fortune cookie on check. Bam. Total was 13 and change. At one point I wondered if it was cash only and when I felt eerily like I was transported to Chinatown/International District. The chow mein with handmade noodles was the draw. The noodles were good but how they were prepared for this dish didn't highlight them, in my opinion. The staff were friendly, prompt, and gracious. They were quick and very professional, turning tables over efficiently.
