I really like the pastry. Croissant is very well laminated. My problem is the operations hours (evaluated as service here). I’d expect - mainly on working days - that a bakery would be open before 8am. It’s frustrating and inaccessible for people who work regular working hours.

A mainstay in Columbia City with regular weekend lines around the block, this bakery offers well-executed classics plus some creative twists and flavor combinations. I visited on a weekday to avoid the crowds and that's what I'd recommend!
I started with an Alaska breakfast sandwich and a chorizo hand pie, both tasty! The Alaska is served on a very unique sourdough biscuit—somewhere between a biscuit and an English muffin, maybe? It has a nice texture.
You absolutely can't miss their seasonal Danish. When I visited, it was plum and cream cheese. The sweet plum, creamy cheese, and flaky crust are an outstanding combo.
Another standout is the savory bread pudding. I'm not sure if this is a regular offering, but if not, it absolutely should be. The texture is amazing, especially warmed up, with gooey cheese and crispy bits of bacon.
Other favorites for me are the mini fruit pie (or the whole fruit pie, if you're serving a crowd), the coffee cake, and any of their focaccia slices.

Ive never had a bad treat from here, but a few of their shining goods: PB cookies, focaccia, and ham & cheese croissant. This is the best peanut butter cookie I’ve ever had! It’s so easy to make a bad peanut butter cookie, which is why, imho, they’re so under-appreciated. However, CC Bakery knows the secret to an excellent PB cookie! Chewy, not hard; high in PB flavor—not covered in sugar or distracted by chocolate chips. The ham & cheese croissant is large and they don’t skimp on the fillings!
The hours here are weird and there isn’t a lot of indoor seating, but the food is worth it!

Friendly service but you can't see what they have until already by checkout. The cupcake tasted like freezer burn badly--almost a mildew taste absorbed by the frosting which was the texture of shortening. Croissants aren't laminated well and are small and tight. They were reminiscent of Safeway croissants. Won't be back.
My favorite place in Columbia City. Bread if phenomenal, im buying it twice a week.
Love danishes too. The best baguette in Seattle for sure! Service is excellent!
I really like their baked goods. My only complaint is that the hours of operation are really inaccessible.
Good late and baked goods!
Best baguette in Seattle. I would go there everyday in a perfect world.

This place is never open anymore. Just 12 hours a week. Don't shop there. It has to to be a tax scam or some other illegal operation. Nobody does this. 12 hours a week? They should surrender their lease and let a decent local business operate in this thriving community. Enough!
I placed an order for Thanksgiving and, while doing so, inquired about a past holiday item that I did not see on the current menu. The manager said she would speak with the baker and get back to me. They ended up being able to accommodate my request, which was a wonderful surprise.
This act of kindness will not go unnoticed at the table and will add to the enjoyment of Thanksgiving. I am grateful for their consideration, ability, and quality of their products.

I look for any excuse to stop into this bakery. They do everything so well. From their baguettes to full loaves to fresh hand pies to the best ham & cheese croissant I’ve ever had in my life. They just get it here. Plus, Columbia City is charming any time of year. A true gem on the southside.
