They don't care to have compost nor recycling. These receptacles are both treated as trash.

Lazy business practices. This is Seattle. We compost and recycle.

Great tasting bubble tea shop and a nice place to pop in when it’s raining, while waiting for the bus/streetcar, people watch or work. Live your best romcom life and try it out, the drinks are delicious

Good tea flavors

My tea was a nice flavor but slightly cooler than the interior of a volcano and left me wondering how many microplastics I drank from the cup it nearly burned through…

The place is really cute. The bubble tea is definitely on the sweeter side. I asked for 30% and man was it still really sweet. The tapioca is good and so is the flavor it’s just the sweetness level doesn’t seem like they adjust it.

There are very few bubble tea shops that actually use freshly brewed tea and COMEBUYTEA is one of them. They use giant Teaspresso machines and brew it right in front of you which is neat. If you want authentic taste with actual tea flavor, check out this chain which originated in Taiwan. It’s one of my favorite tea spots and reminds me of my time there.

I love this place, but their quality is not consistent. I can order the same tea yesterday and today and they could taste different… lol

Pretty bad drink quality.

The top #1 item on the menu - the milk tea has NO milk - can you believe it? It comes with non dairy creamer.

You have to pay extra on top of a $7.50 drink to get MILK in your MILK TEA.

You order on a screen - and it asks you to tip. LOL. Nonsense. But this is crappy US culture - whatever. I did not tip.

The boba and jelly taste BAD. They are hard and low quality. Almost feel like year old boba. I found myself spitting the boba and jelly out in a cup after every sip.

The tea AFTER I paid extra for MILK and then tax on top of that - is very close is $10 - and is WATERY. I had a doubt so I didn't finish my tea and left it out for 2 days - it did NOT curdle - means NO MILK was added in it even after I paid EXTRA for MILK in my MILK TEA~!!

Staff seem nice - she answered my question about why MILK is EXTRA CHARGE - LOL.

But no one calls out your number or name when your tea is ready - its just sitting there. There is NO sign to order the status - unless you want to give out your phone number- which I did not - maybe if I did I would get a text about my drink.

There are a 1000 tea shops opening every day - don't go to this one and waste your money.

Overall - not worth the price. I would pay $1 or $2 for this if they threw out all the boba and jelly.

Ordered 2 plain waffles, and tipped as well. As I ate I found that the waffle had plastic in it. Initially I thought it's just burnt pieces of the batter on the side of the waffle but as I looked closer there turned out to be a big piece of plastic with small pieces throughout the waffle. You can obviously see them. So I told them that there's plastic in it, the server apologized and said she'll make another one. Me and my gf waited and when it was ready I got them from the counter just to find out that there's still plastic in them. These pictures are the waffle made the second time. You can see there's still clearly plastic inside of it. I was surprised she didn't notice the black specks so i just tossed them and left. Pretty disappointing. Plastic inside waffle is no joke.

Nice location in capital hill. Decent options with decent tea. Not great but not bad either!! Can get busy and take awhile to get the tea order.

I am a tea snob and I do not add milk or sweetener to my tea. I was a little worried when I first stepped into Come Buy Tea.

However, there were classic tea options with no added ingredients that were easy to locate on the menu.

I ordered a jasmine green iced tea and was horrified when I realized the leaves were going to be ground and the tea was going to be brewed using a modified espresso machine. That is not how one brews a traditional cup of tea.

That said, the process was fascinating. It's worth stopping by if you're a tea lover just to witness the brewing process. I believe the 3 seperate machines brew at different temperatures, whi h makes sense. The giant tea hoppers on the walls have the grinders built into them, so the tea-rista slots the espresso pod thing into the hopper and the tea is ground directly into it.

All of this to say, it was the BEST cup of jasmine green tea I've had since the days when I worked at a tea shop and could brew my own.

They have a lovely assortment of oolong, black, and green teas, and the tea itself appeared to be of higher quality, especially for a shop that makes bubble teas and the like.

Best spot for iced tea to sip while strolling around Capital Hill on a sunny day!

EDIT: Changing my rating. The store reached out and refunded the drinks in addition to giving a couple of drinks on the house for my next visit. Really great response and very friendly when resolving this. Will continue visiting after this mix-up.

I stop by this place all the time and usually have a good experience. But this last time I got drinks for pickup and brought them home. One of them had a big piece of plastic in it that got sucked up through the straw. That's pretty dangerous and luckily we noticed it. I would have contacted the store directly to resolve this but they are not easy to contact. They don't answer the phone or are easily reachable through social media. I cannot find an email address either. I'm hoping they respond to this. I don't feel right having paid for a 7 dollar drink with plastic in it.
