Ordered the farmer's skillet. Pretty good portions, flavorful. Ingredients were fresh and in decent amounts. Coffee is what you would expect. The interior is nicely done. It's a casual relaxed atmosphere. Priced about right. The server was attentive and pleasant.

Pretty good food on average, nothing special but it’s a UW staple. And bottomless mimosas! Cheap for what you get! Also the nicest staff

Food was just ok, some arrived chill and not hot. It was super busy, so will give them that. I don't think it was worth the cost or wait time. Probably won't be back.

Super good food, our waitress was really nice and definitely on top of things. Didn't have to wait very long for anything.

Great little spot with breakfast and a variety of food options. Generous portions. The California breakfast burrito was delicious!

Since I work nearby, I have been coming here every month for the last 6 or 7 years. This is my favorite casual restaurant on the Ave. Both the food and the service is constantly great. You can also customize your food order- for example I often order a Blue Cheese Bacon Burger- even though it is not on the menu. The environment is very nice as well- there are a ton of windows, and it is nice bright environment with a lot of huge corn plants. Its especially nice when the weather is quite drab.

My favorite breakfast place in the U District. Perfect spot in the area for bottomless mimosas.

One of the best local spots in the Ave! Good food, amazing people and very relaxed atmosphere. Great for breakfast and lunch. Definitely a staple of the Ave. Amanda is a joy and always remembers our orders when we come in!

I ordered Uber eats and it was still hot and fresh! Than again delivery was only 10-15 min away. Best sausage gravy I've had in so long!

Good food, but I'm not convinced about the value.
I was anticipating the prices that are currently displayed on singleplatform, but I should have checked their website itself. Singleplatform has appetizers in the $6-$9 range and it's really $10-12, so it must be really outdated or a different portion size. The $11.95 chicken souvlaki was one skewer with 4 bite-sized pieces of chicken + veg with some tomato salad and maybe 3-4oz tzatziki.
My special ($16.95) was tasty, but again, I'm not sure the portion size was worth this. My friend's sandwich, the San Francisco Melt ($17.95) at least had a portion size that was filling.
$32 for the special and the souvlaki and I was only kind of full 🤷‍♀️
Very nice and attentive server (who was also serving a table of 10 college guys)
Nice ambience, especially for lunch with the dining room mostly empty.

Great lunch option in U District. Prices were good for the area. Got the Bacon Burger and Cheeseburger, both with fries. Went midday on a Wednesday, was slow but food came out quick and was delicious. Windows were open, so a beautiful breeze came in. The music was relaxing, and the server was very kind. A pleasant restaurant, will happily go again.

Overall Costas is a pretty good place to get brunch. Ate there this morning and was satisfied with what they had to offer. I got the Costas Omelette which was really nice and was a great way to start my day. It was a bit loud so we had to raise our voices a bit but I’m sure it’d be less busy if it was earlier and not Independence Day. However the cars and people on the street can get a bit loud. Nonetheless this is a nice restaurant and I would get brunch here again.

Solid breakfast place, about average food but very good service and comfortable atmosphere. Will be returning for classic breakfast food and bottomless mimosas on the Ave!

I love Costa’s so much!

So many reasons to love this place…

Firstly it’s located on the corner of 47th and University Way NE so it’s situated in a prime location, yet never feels overcrowded at all.

If you sit by the window you can take in all walks of life on the Ave, or also just sit quietly and enjoy your meal… no one will bother you :)

Speaking of food, Costa’s food is delicious!

Some of my favorites are the Veggie burger, which comes with a good portion of fries, and also the pastas are fantastic if you like rich cream sauces.

The chicken pesto fettuccini is incredible as is the salmon pasta!

Staff is super nice and always great service!

Amanda and everyone who works there are top notch!

Highly recommended!

I am a local business owner across the street over at Innervisions - Posters and Framing - so this is my go to place to eat in the neighborhood when I’m craving a chill spot with amazing food and service, plus atmosphere. Love the plants!

Plus they have just basic coffee, and sometimes that all you need!
