I had been looking for a good lamb gyro sandwich in Seattle and I think I finally found it. Costa’s is a little Greek restaurant in University District which seems to be popular among locals. I ordered beef and lamb gyro and I was not disappointed. Meat was seasoned perfectly and cooked well, and peta bread was soft and fresh. A lot of places tend to compensate for the lack of quality of the meat by dumping a ton of meat on bread which is very wasteful. But my sandwich portion...
Got that 90s Panera Bread kind of feeling inside. Comforting in the sense that you know what to expect, and it always delivers. Nostalgic. Best looking interior of a restaurant in the U district.
I went there today. Food was delicious. Server was really nice.
She would always check in and see how we were doing, how the food was tasting, etc. can’t remember her name though.
