Well my partner and myself came into the cottontail for the first time as the owners are the same as bathtub gin so I was excited, ordered a slushy - was bad after one sip asked for a replacement, and in order my drink so 2 drinks. Got the bill it was just under $40. Went back to the bartender ( Brice G.)to let him know he charged us for 2 slushies. His reply “yep I did because you didn’t ask for a sample first so you are getting charged” I was shocked. Why wouldn’t you A. let us know before hand or B. Just not charge us for the first drink. Disappointed when trying to support local, don’t know if I will comeback especially if my dollars are tight and I need to make sure where I’m spending them are going to a good establishment that understands their customers. Didn’t try the food either as we were so turned off by the way the drinks were handled.

When we arrived one person was sitting at bar but no one else visible . We sat ourselves at a table. After waiting 7 minutes we still hadn’t seen anyone working. Went up to bar thinking that would bring someone out. Man at bar said bartender would be right back. Waited a bit longer and left. I guess this would explain why there weren’t more customers.

Fun speakeasy in the alley! Lots of space and well decorated. They had a bunch of fun drinks. We got two of their specials, the blue shark one was STRONG. Came on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, bartender was nice enough. Overall good experience! Definitely good for chill date night.
