I am sad to hear that Dahlia lounge is closing. It was a wonderful restaurant for special dates. I would have to say that my favorite dessert of all time was served here. The dish was nectarines crepes with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. A simple dessert but made to perfection. I can still remember it 20 years later. I am glad to hear Dahlia Bakery my be expanding.

While I am sorry to hear that Dahlia Lounge won't reopen post COVID, I had to admit to myself a few years ago that this Seattle institution had become a bit tired. Which is why I am so excited to learn that Tom Douglas will use this space on 4th Avenue to expand my two favorite jewels in his empire, Serious Pie, and my personal favorite, Dahlia Bakery. I'll miss Dahlia Lounge but as they say, "be glad because it happened." I look forward to the reopening so I can get my favorite breakfast sandwich and beignets! I hope there is room now too for some espresso.

Recently, I brought my family to this restaurant, and we greatly have fun and satisfied. Besides, the foods and drinks that we ordered were quite impressive and very good. Also, we greatly love the treatment of the waiter to us. He was nice, helpful, and accommodating. Next time, we will surely come back, for we like it. It was even a perfect place to visit again and again. Thanks!

(Pre-covid) Had a wonderful dinner at Dahlia Lounge. LOVE their duck entree! My friend was visiting from out of town and was impressed with the vegetarian entree she got. We dined in and were truly amazed by the quality of all the main dishes and appetizers we ordered as well as the clean environment. I will definitely come back again.

Tom Douglas restaurants are always reliably excellent. Their staff is wonderful and the food is great. The crab cakes were especially delicious! We appreciate all that Tom contributes to our city and his thoughtfulness in all things.

I wanted to like Dahlia Lounge, it comes highly recommend as an iconic Seattle restaurant, but it fell short of it's reputation and my expectations. Our server was fabulous, attentive and engaging, however I found the food to be really nothing special and way overpriced. I wanted to share the Tom Douglas experience with a group of out of town friends, but we all left wondering it it was really worth it....

Tasty creative cocktails, interesting seasonal ingredients, and friendly, knowledgeable staff make this a top choice for dining in Seattle. I've never had a bad (or even mediocre) meal here. Every time I visit it's delicious and I can't wait to return. Plenty of options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diet requirements. Highly recommend for a special celebration, impressing out of town guests or business associates, or you just need a night to be pampered. Quiet enough to enjoy conversation, yet just enough energy to keep it fun and lively! Don't miss out on this wonderful gastronomical experience in the heart of Seattle!

We booked a mystery vacation with PackUp&Go for Feb. 14-17, 2020 and they sent us to Seattle along with a $50 gift card to Dahlia. The food was super, the atmosphere nice, somewhat pricey but the gratuity _IS_ included. We tried the Chicken Fried Celery Root (different but good), Crab Cakes (great), Skirt Steak (pretty great), wines recommended by our server, and the doughnuts for dessert (great). Would go back if in Seattle again and were in the mood for a fancy dinner.

Having dined here seven years ago we were eager to dine here again. My wife and I shared a beet salad, which was excellent. The mains were not quite so impressive. My crab cakes were very good, but the vegetables were disappointing. My wife felt the same way about the veggies accompanying her Arctic char. We shared a piece of coconut cream pie: superb. We had a glass each of the Yakima Valley gewürztraminer, which I can recommend without hesitation. Not quite a 5-star experience, but close to that.

Beautiful space. Late reservation, so it was super quiet. Very friendly greeting at the door, also on the part of the bartender (I sat at the bar). Wine was delightful, oysters sublime, beet salad-my favorite, and larger than I expected. Am not sure what all the hype about the tomato soup is about, however. Famous biscuits should be served all day. I wanted to try them with the soup.

Dahlia Lounge is one of my 2 favorite restaurants in Seattle. In 10 years of dining here--often to celebrate very special occassions--I have not had a bad meal. Actually, it just occurred to me that I've never had a "bad" experience here--a difficult or disappointing server, for example. I can't recommend it too highly.

Dahlia Lounge has been one of my favorite places to dine for over 20 years. The experience is perfection, from start to finish. Best Manhattans in the city, beautiful oysters, a perfect steak and the grilled bread salad is divine. Finally, their coconut cream pie is the ONLY coconut cream pie I will eat. 10 out of 10 stars!

Overall, really good food and amazing cocktails. Me and my wife had the half duck, and even though we split it, it was probably way too much. Delicious though. The beef carpaccio was amazing too.
