This is a great no frills Chinese Food and Dim Sum restaurant. Each meal comes with complementary hot tea, which was delicious. I ordered several items from the menu, all items were delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The service was very disappointing. The female staff completely ignored us when we wanted to place an order. Her behavior was quite rude, and it was obvious she was aware of it.

Our go to place for dim sum and good food.
Chinese cuisine in Seattle is erratic. Outside of the International District (“Chinatown”), there are a few isolated establishments scattered about.
Dim Sum House is that proverbial “diamond in the rough” for those diners already aware or those willing to enter its humble doorway.
The dining area is small, perhaps 8 assorted tables. Take-out is very popular.
As its name suggests, there is an extensive Dim Sum offering, coupled with an extensive menu of favorite dishes.
The Salt and Pepper Squid and “Kong” Pao Chicken were among the best this diner has ever enjoyed. Fresh, bursting with flavor, and ample portions.
Dishes arrived in an order decided by the kitchen rather than in an “expected” sequence.
The service model appeared to be address one table at a time, from ordering to delivery, then on to the next.
Let your favorite Map (app) guide you and prepare yourself for a culinary delight.

Fantastic dim sum spot! The shrimp dumplings and siu mai were fresh and flavorful, and the salt & pepper lobster was a must-try—crispy, meaty, and delicious. The zongzi here are huge (bigger than my hand!) and filled with authentic Chinese flavors: tender meat, sausage, peanuts, chestnut, and salted egg yolk. Very reasonably priced, with generous portions and lots of variety from dim sum to bakery treats. Best of all, there’s plenty of parking space(two hours free parking)—so much easier than dealing with Chinatown. Friendly service, authentic taste, and great value. Highly recommended!

I wanted to love this place. The service wasn't great. But 4.4 stars with 400+ reviews seemed good. It's my fault I didn't look at the 1 star reviews, and I never not look at them before trying a new place ever again. There are multiple people advising having COCKROACHES in their food. And they aren't lying. I already have submitted a complaint with the Washington Healh Department FNIS - but I have to do my own due diligence and warn people. When we started eating, the food was delicious, and when the last dish was dumplings was brought out (shrimp dumplings) we had the ultimate shock of a baby COCKROACH cooked into the dumpling skin. When we alerted the worker they weren't overly shocked, they yelled for another worker and spoke in a language I didn't understand, most likely discussing the cockroach that was found in our food. We had already eaten so much and I felt absolutely nauseated and disgusted. The worker refused payment of any type of payment, apologized many, many times and rushed us out of the restaurant. I couldnt in good conscience not leave a public review. And I hope I don't receive any kind of retaliation for it. People deserve to know when places are infested with bugs. I hope they pay exterminaters, and get it together. If it wasn't for the cockroaches, I would've eaten there again, but alas I will not return there.

I was very disappointed with the food. The female counter staff who either ignored my questions or responded in an unfriendly tone. I honestly don't understand how this restaurant is still in business. I won't be returning.

This place was awesome. One of those little whole in the walls, kind if divey but everything we had was incredibly fresh and tasted bomb.

I just recently moved into the Seward Park area the nearest place near me is Dim Sum House I have ordered 10 times in the last two months always To Go because I work in a got to go business my last visit was tonight, I ordered chicken ( Chow Mien (Soft Noodle) what I got was dried up old noodles a few pieces of chicken a scant of celery. None of the vegetables you would find in chicken chow mein no bean sprouts this place should have the Health Department knocking down their door just nasty dried noodles with a scattering of some brown sauce if you could call it sauce id call it scraping the bottom of the barrel. Im not one to harshly criticize. But

Personnel were very attentive.
Had to share a large round table with a young couple. There were 4 of us. Though I prefer keeping to ourselves, we had a nice experience with the young couple and their young child.
The honey cashew shrimp was delicious. One may want to double the order or add a side of rice for it to be filling. The others had dumplings filled with various ingredients, vegetables, and pork They enjoyed the entrees. I tried a little of each and for my taste, the dough was undercooked, the vegetables bland, and the meat was minimal and mushy.
The outside of the building appears a little run-down, but the neighborhood is old and quaint. The inside is fairly clean and comfortably cozy.
I had a good experience and may be what someone is looking for.
