“I left Seattle in 2005 and just came back to Glo’s nearly 20 years later. So much on Capitol Hill has changed in that time—whole blocks feel unrecognizable to me—but walking into Glo’s was like getting a warm welcome home hug.
I had the crab Benedict and it was everything I hoped it would be: perfectly poached eggs, a light yet creamy hollandaise, and flavors that reminded me why this place has always been special.
Yes, the new location is bigger and shinier than the little café I remember, but it still holds the same heart and soul. Glo’s continues to be an anchor of the neighborhood’s diverse community, a place that feels both familiar and essential no matter how much the city evolves around it.
I’m grateful it’s still here—and I can’t wait to come back on my next trip to Seattle.“

“Trying to eat at midnight turned into an awesome find! In the shadow of the Space Needle, but without all the touristsy (yes thats a word) BS. The staff and service are no nonsense yet gracious and friendly. The food was pretty dang good! We had the Fish & Chips, the cod was tender and moist, fried perfectly with a textured batter that was crisp and flavorfull. The fries may have been fresh cut, but done just right and plentiful. I'm picky regarding tartar sauce, theirs was well within the expected. I was a little disappointed with the coleslaw, it was dry and thus without much flavor. It is a 2 or 3 pc choice and the pieces were generous.
They self describe as a dive bar, it has that feel but they are an efficient restaurant with a bar.
If your looking in the area, you gotta try it. We did find street parking at midnight, but the are is busy even then, so consider how your getting there!
Absolutely recommend!
I would absolutely recommend The 5 point!“

“This place is really fun! The 50s decor is really cool and they have a jukebox you can select songs for right at your booth. Food is very tasty. I have noticed a lot of turnover though (I live nearby), which is a little concerning. Overall I definitely recommend it, especially if you can go in on a weekday morning when it's less busy. On weekends there is very reasonably a bit of a wait.“

“The Alpine is one of our favorite go-to diner breakfast places in the White Center/West Seattle area! We have always had a pleasant experience with the wait staff and the food! My favorite is the French toast or the avocado bagel 🙌🏻 my husband loves the country fried steak and the biscuits and gravy! It’s a place for good casual breakfast and brunch; they’ve got good cocktails as well as the most delicious NA turmeric/orange juice tonic.“

“Brand new cafeteria in the new Behavioral Health building also includes a great outside sitting area. I love their food. Their main menu food is great and like home made. They have a grill with burgers and fries and a daily special by chef Anthony, his food is amazing.“

“The whole vibe in there was amazing! Awesome service, and coming from deep southern mountains of South Carolina, they put their whole backs into cooking the food! Absolutely without a doubt they are invited to the cookout! We will definitely be eating here when we come back to Seattle! One of the best breakfasts I have ever had!“

“This unique diner offers a delightful atmosphere and aesthetic. The friendly staff and delicious mimosas make it worth the visit. The Caprese omelette was filling and delicious, while the chicken fried steak was large but well-done. The fresh daily biscuits were excellent. The coffee came in a large soup mug, and the Irish coffee was good. The booths are fixed in place, so it’s not ideal for larger bodies. We recommend it and will return, though my partner might skip the chicken fried steak. I’ll definitely get the Caprese omelette again.“
