I've been coming here for 25 years, including a period with a Mexican boyfriend who said it tasted like his grandmother's cooking. I like the outside deck they added with Covid. I hate they removed the Mole Poblano with Covid (I complain every time I go... still!). The margaritas are a bit sweet, but that's my only complaint.
Went to this old Fremont stand-by recently and was pleasantly surprised. I forgot what a great vibe it has with really nice outdoor and indoor seating options and great decor. The food and margaritas were super solid, exceeding my expectations, and the service was laid -back, but attentive. Tldr: nice vibes and decent food but expensive
My partner and I wanted to share a burrito and so they cut the burrito in half for us and plated each half so nicely. They also have a really nice back patio and it's nice in the summer.
The food is good as well. They charged us for extra salsa without telling us though. I wish we got the heads us chips and salsa was already $7 and lots of Mexican restaurants give that for free.
