Visited Elliott’s Seafood on a busy Friday—waterfront views, lively but noisy. Staff were friendly, our waiter Jeremiah helped with great recommendations. Tried oysters (20+ types!) and clam chowder; food was fresh but prices were high. Portions generous, though cioppino had fewer shrimp. 20% service charge included. Parking was tough; nearby garages filled. Suggestion: reserve early, especially weekends.
The restaurant itself was fine. The back of the booth was quite thin and you feel the person sitting behind you in the other booth. 26% gratuity mandatory on the bill is ridiculous. There's many other restaurants to choose from the don't include a mandatory gratuity. Personally I would go to Anthony's instead of Elliot's.
Honestly, overall a good restaurant and maybe an iconic tourist spot, but not necessarily anything to write home about.
The oysters were super fresh and delicious - and they do have a huge variety of local Washington oysters. They have oysters for every pallet and honestly it was really fun to try a variety — we got to try one called the “fat bastard” which was HUGE (our server told us that they can get even bigger as well)
