THIS PLACE KNOWS COFFEE! It's a light roast so it's tough to taste but coffee shouldn't overpower the milk and this place nails all aspects of coffee. Looked into it a little more and it's clear that they wrote the book (literally) on latte art and pulling espresso perfectly. Good to see they've trained their entire team well enough that the person writing the book doesn't have to pull all the shots. I enjoyed this place and will be back!

Espresso Vivace Seattle Review
Visiting Espresso Vivace Seattle gave me, without a doubt, the best macchiato I have ever had!
The service was prompt and the coffee was perfect for our quick break. We particularly appreciated the staff's expertise—it's clear they know their coffee and are genuinely helpful in guiding customers to a perfect drink choice.
A fantastic experience all around!

Cafe nico is a must try.

Rating: 8/10

With the freshness of orange zest, balanced by a touch of cinnamon and cream, this is a unique mix that I feel is hard to get right.

I came in with the intention to get an espresso shot, as I heard rave reviews about them, but this drink caught my eye.
Thanks to the lady in front of me for the rec!!

I was disappointed by my experience here. Coffee was below average, tasting quite burnt. Staff behind the counter was unwelcoming.
There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area that are much better - I would personally avoid this spot.

If you're looking for a coffee purist's spot (James Hoffmann-esque) look no further than Espresso Vivace. The owner (a former Boeing engineer) literally wrote a book on the subject in which he explores in depth subjects such as puck shaping, how 1mm of grounds affects pulling a shot by 10 seconds, etc.

Each barista is rigorously trained in technique and you'll not find a finer shot around this side of the Atlantic. 10/10 highest recommendation. A must if you love coffee.

Just go here. The coffee will speak for itself. Got a matcha and the cold brew with a chocolate croissant. Chefs kiss on the items we got. And the customer service was great. It was on 9.20 at 7 am where are guy and girl was working. Beyond friendly! But damn was the coffee good.

What a great place! When I'm in town I always stop at Vivace at their Capitol Hill location so I thought I’d try this one a try. Dustin made our drinks and he was such a kind person and great barista! Thanks for creating my favorite drink ever!(The Nico)

Tried the famous latte Nico here. The taste was okay, nothing particularly surprising. The barista seemed a bit distant. The atmosphere is interesting, somewhere between a coffee shop and a night bar.

Espresso Vivace needs no introduction for locals—it’s a staple in the Seattle coffee community. One drink you absolutely have to try is their Nico—I love it! This place also carries so much history, and it’s worth dropping by just to experience that. Street parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s definitely worth the visit.

Very disappointing , the pastries looks very simple. The coffee is not better than Macdonald but very expensive.
