The vibes in this place have always been immaculate; not bougie, not sketchy, a perfect middle balance that I would call "absolutely comfortable". The food is always amazing, the location rules, idk this place just does not effin miss.
Okay, why haven’t I known about this place until now?? Maybe because it’s kinda hard to find? ? IYKYK I guess. Find Pink Gorilla but walk up the stairs. It’ll take you straight to this gem of a restaurant.
They serve delicious home style Japanese dishes. My absolute favorite and go-to is the $20-something bento. You get to pick two proteins!! Saba and hamburger steak are solid options. Also, GET THE MELON SODA. You won’t regret it.

I would give it 4 stars if you live in the area or can get here via mass transit. 3 stars if you drive here and add in the cost of parking. I got the bento box with the Fort St. George Style Hamburger Steak w/ Meat Sauce (like a flat meatball) and Japanese Style Fried Chicken. Everything was good. Service was ok.
