absolutely amazing flavor! Loved the waffle cone. Great work.

This is without a doubt the best vegan ice cream in Seattle, but many non vegan friends absolutely love the unique flavors! California Cabin is my favorite ice cream in the world, and in a fresh made waffle cone, you can’t go wrong.

Went to get some ice cream with some friends for the evening. Labeling showed flavors which had coconut, nuts, or neither. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere that all of the flavors are made with coconut milk and that not having coconut on the sign means something else entirely. Two of my friends had allergic reactions to the coconut they thought they were avoiding.

The ice cream is amazing and the service is generally good.

Today I went in and the woman working was on her phone and touching her face. She didn’t wash her hands.

She was also talking to a friend when we walked in. I’ll be back I’m sure but this was one of my first bad experiences there.

I have spent way too money at Frankie & Jo's. On the one hand, they have objectively some of the best ice cream I've ever tried. (Sticky Sweet in Maine is another top contender.) But I legit feel embarrassed to bring friends here because of the price — a split scoop on a cone costs upwards of $15, which is almost double what it costs at other high-end ice cream places (e.g., Salt & Straw). Kind of wish they wouldn't use so many specialty ingredients (like flax seeds in the waffle cones?) so they could bring the prices down. I do really like their soft serve, though. I know they had some trouble with the machine in the summer of 2024, so hopefully that'll be back for next year.

I have been vegan for 10 years and I’ve tried every ice cream brand available. This is the best I’ve ever had. The mint brownie is unbelievable. I’m shocked by how amazing it is. And the store itself is so cute and the people working are so lovely!

AMAZING VEGAN ICE CREAM! Yes, all in caps, because this was the best. And I have been to Italy and had vegan ice cream. Frankie & Jo’s was just fantastic. Loved the flavors (cardamom apple pie!), but the friendly service was just as great. Too bad I don’t live in Seattle, because I would have been a very frequent customer ?

Frankie and Jo’s usually has delicious ice cream. I’ve been disappointed the last two times but it I will certainly still visit. Four stars because it’s soo expensive. The staff are always nice and give customers samples.

Always interesting and unique flavors and the quality is excellent every time. All vegan. Nut free options are available. The aroma of waffle cones fresh off the griddle is dreamy. I love coming here and it is certainly worth the price

Frankie & Jo's is a chain of vegan ice cream shops in the Seattle area. It's known for having vegan and gluten free options where they substitute ingredients that have similar tastes or textures. This location is in Ballard right off 15th. Parking is pretty easy here, and they have a few places to sit inside. It's normally pretty slow at this location so there's never a line. The staff is great, very friendly and ready to talk. The ice cream itself is OK. It's pricey for the portion sizes you get, and some of the flavors get overwhelmed but the substitute ingredients (for instance chocolate, where the coconut in it overpowers the chocolate). They do have some good combos and some that mix well together like Beet Strawberry Rose. Overall a decent choice is your limited to vegan or gluten free options.

We live very near by and frequent the shop. I will say their flavors all seem interesting but the main flavor in each is sugar. Their website doesn’t post nutritional info but I’d guess it’s laden with sugar. As tons of other reviewers have noted the ownership should provide some options that are not overly sweet. Also as others have noted it was very expensive for what is served.

Keeping this 100. It's an all vegan shop which is great for us lactose intolerant people. The workers are super friendly and accomondating. Cute aesthetic inside. However, for me, it's way too expensive for the amount you get. I'd rather take a lactaid pill and go to Nutty Squirrel than pay $10.50 for a mini scoop of ice cream inside of waffle cone. A standard scoop is $8.25 before tax and then you add $1 to split into a second flavor. Then 2.75 for a waffle cone. So either way, it's $9+ for a regular ole scoop of ice cream. But this place would be nice for a once a month treat or something.

Really delicious ice-cream and sundaes, it's impossible to figure out these are actually vegan and gluten free, what!? Their chocolate fudge, waffle cones and toppings are delicious too! Nice neighborhood place with a super nostalgic vibe! Must visit!
