These tamales are absolutely fabulous. We bought a whole slew of them for friends and family for Christmas. They made the perfect gift and everybody raved about them. The only thing I will say, is they say they take about an hour to cook but we found longer than that with a pretty intense steam, was what it needed to get the masa dough cooked all the way through. we love the jalapeño and cheese the best but really, you can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. The staff is kind and pick up and ordering is pretty simple if you read all the directions. Don’t miss out on those awesome salsas!!

Seriously just go try their tamales. They're huge & they satisfy every time. Get the pickled veggies, crema, and the salsa (mild/hot) of choice. Salsa verde is my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of them.

The tamales and salsas are so delicious. I was expecting the Fajita Veggie tamale to be really dry, but it was my favorite, so perfect. I wish the vegan soyrizo tamale was available cooked I bet its incredible, I just couldn't justify a frozen tamale when I had to drive 2+hours home with no cooler. The counter person was my favorite balance of laidback and sassy. Had to come here two days in a row it was so good.

Quick takeout but honestly doesn't live to the hype. The food is good but 7 bucks for a tamale is overpriced and the menu is confusing. Nowhere to sit, and they don't always include utensils or napkins. The staff can be kinda rude and condescending like they're doing you a favor by selling you tamales. There's better Mexican food in Seattle nowadays, just hit up a truck

got the Chorizo & Cheese Tamalei'm interested to see how i review this place whenit's an interesting spot - basically just a 'hole in the wall' takeout place where food is made very quicklythe prices are super nice here too - i'll talk about that laterthe tamale came wrapped in a corn husk (which obviously i took off, come on, i'm not an idiot)the inside was somewhat burrito-like, but instead of a tortilla it was surrounded by a thicker masa (dough)I found the masa to be a pretty good wrap-like material for the insidethe inside contained mostly chorizo and monterey jack cheese, as the description suggestsfirst, the chorizo. I'm not the biggest fan of chorizo - but I thought this was done really well.It was seasoned well and just spicy enough that it added a good amount of flavorThere was also a LOT of it throughout the tortilla - which was really nicethe cheese was somewhat lacking in my opinion - I expected each bite to be cheesy, withat least a few cheese pulls, but I found there to not be as much cheese as I would've likedI could still taste some, but each bite I got mostly chorizoFor the price point, though, only about $7 per tamale, I found this great value - and this really helped fill me upThis dish also came with a spicy salsa that I found tasted really good as an add-on for the tamaleThe carrots (?) were surprsingly excellent - I did not expect them to be that goodOverall, good place, but when I try it again I'll definitely be opting for a different flavored tamale. 7.15/10

Excellent tamales and even better service. The tamales are full of meat/veggies and have a ton of flavor. Prices are high but the tamales are big and definitely worth the price. There's no place to sit, it's take out only.

There's no atmosphere. There is a counter you walk up to and order great, inexpensive and filling food. You want fancy? Best go somewhere else. I tired the pork tamale and will be going back for other flavors. The beans were great and the picked carrots were tasty.

The lunch special before 2pm is the best bang for your buck. $7 dollars for a tamale is crazy. Sometime the rice and beans are hit or miss just depends who’s cooking that morning. $2 dollar price increases lately have been a bummer.

Frelard provided the catering for a non-profit open house in October for Hispanic Heritage Month. The food was absolutely fantastic, the team was easy to work with, and our guests enjoyed every bite. Thank you Frelards!

Nearly puurrrrfect...taste is great, Tooooo much meat, but that's for American tastes. Would give it a 5 across the board if I could get the dessert tamales cooked and ready to eat.Vegetarian options: Dessert plus main entrees
