We had so much here in the cafeteria when we were in Highschool. I remember how my crush, became my partner now, seated beside me and talked to me regarding our homework. That started our friendship then years later, started our relationship. This cafeteria had lots of memory for us. We even had our pre-nuptial video here, where it all started. Got the fried chicken sandwich and tots. Tots were golden and crisp, chicken sandwich was fresh and juicy with fresh tomato, lettuce, and tasty big mac sauce on it. The menu is a hard to read on the TVs so get a menu at the counter. Hopefully they can maintain this consistency and not inflate the menu with too many choices.

I love when people display a passion for what they do. The chef, Brandon makes all his soups from scratch and even let us sample some flavors! The food was fresh good quality and the service was great. Quick and convenient!

Everything good about the US Courthouse Cafe (Miss you, Sammy!) has been discarded and replaced with mediocre-to-gross renditions of its former self. TVs with on a rapid Powerpoint slide show cycle have replaced the easily readable menu boards. Everything is just awful now. Suggestions for step forward: Dump the "Fresh Taste Cafe" branding, go back to the trusted "Courthouse Cafe". Return to the original recipes that made the original Courthouse Cafe great. Dump the cutesy names for sandwiches...I don't want a Rainier or a Burien or whatever...I want a Ham Sandwich or a Cheeseburger. KEEP IT SIMPLE, it's mid-grade diner food, not a freakin' Picasso. Also, what kind of madman puts red onions on avocado toast?

Absolutely awful. Used to come here frequently when it was the courthouse cafe but the new owner has ruined it. Slow service and terrible food. The last time I was in I just wanted a salad. The lettuce was all wilted and the broccoli was brown. Disgusting.

Unfortunately not the same quality as a few months ago. Menu "specials" seem to be the same week after week, smaller portions and staff/menu changes not for the better. Bummer.

By far the better option if you work at the DOC or L&I building!!!! Service, food and prices are way better than the cafeteria at L&I. I felt that my business was wanted and not expected of me. Will be giving Fresh Taste Cafe my business from here on out!
Very cute little cafe. They have a variety of things to choose from. You get get rice, ramen, a burger or from their self serve bar. Their pricings aren't bad. We got their beef rice dish and it was a good amount of food and there was tons of veggies included! Our friends got the burger and it was a decent amount of fries included!
