This is a hole-in-the-wall type of place in Chinatown, which, in my experience, is usually the best. Gan Beo didn't disappoint. Came here because we heard this place serves up one of the best garlic chicken wings, and we were surprised to find that Gan Bei punches very much above its weight in delivering both a full bar of drinks and Chinese food items that tasted very authentic.

This is legitimately one of my fave places in all of CID. When I go there, the atmosphere is extremely warming, makes me feel like family and the food is always amazing. I highly recommend the plum chicken as an appetizer or the beef chow fen if you're feeling a great Cantonese dish for the main entrée.
