A couple friends and I stopped by to order take out. The owner (Mrs. Gorgeous George I assume) is the queen of service and warm hospitality. She patiently went over the menu with us as we decided our selections, paying close attention to dietary restrictions and preferences. As we waited, we were treated with drinks on the house and pita with delicious hummus and babaganouje. Then our food came and she had made sure we had extra portions for leftovers. George is a phenomenal chef and an unparalleled delight to chat with. He makes his own spice mixes for his food, so even the rice here tastes extra aromatic and delicious.

Gorgeous George’s is one of the best family-owned restaurants in Seattle. The food is always incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. Our favorites are the Zahara, falafel, green salad (especially the dressing!), George’s Combo, and the all lamb dishes. Every single dish is absolutely delicious and packed with flavor, and even our kids love all their food.
