Grand Central Bakery - Wedgwood cafe

Grand Central is always a treat, it's SOOO nice to be able to pick up real actual crusty wonderful bread and pastries. I've never found a better loaf or croissant in Seattle and I've looked. Sandwiches are also so tasty and made with local produce, and there's no plastic in to go orders so it's all compostable. we get pie crusts and chopped up bread for stuffing for the holidays too.

I’ve had some amazing sandwiches here. I’ve had some I didn’t love (the asparagus sandwich just didn’t work). I appreciate that they have a good selection of veggie options!

That said, expect LONG waits. Typically we have to wait nearly an hour for a simple single sandwich. They are constantly understaffed or having an issue slowing them down or just a slow pace. That can be nice but I often don’t have an hour to wait for a single sand which. That makes us only come here about twice a year.

I will also say I don’t think I’ve ever seen an employee wipe down a table.

Had great quiche and breakfast sandwiches here. The drip coffee was a bit over roasted. Pastries are the star of the show here.

Had to wait 10 minutes in a line to get an overpriced pastry and a cup for a $4 self serve coffee, then found that the pot was empty with nothing ready to go or even being brewed. So had to wait another 15 minutes for them to brew another pot. Plus, I had nowhere to sit because they have so few tables for their large room, and half the bar by the window was closed off for “holiday pickup space” (completely empty). Maybe I just got unlucky, but even then, very expensive for only ok coffee, food, and service

The food was great, but the selection is a bit limited. The servers were polite. The bathroom was clean, but the towel waste was close to overflowing. Mostly good, but could do a little more decorating and better attention to facilities

One of my favorite places when visiting my daughter in Wedgwood. I always get a croissant with my Latté. Excellent!

Nice place to have a coffee and/or breakfast and read for a while. Not too crowded, but lively. Love looking out the big windows with the globe lights when it is at all overcast.

Delicious, great service

Almost 30$ for an under salted egg sandwich, 5 bites of kale salad, and burnt tasting cold coffee. Next time I'll go to Grateful Bread down the street.

I’ve lived in Wedgwood for a combined total of almost three years, and recently popped in for the first time. The cashier who first helped me was named Jax. He was such a sweetheart and gave me so many great recommendations. The kindest person ever. Not to mention everyone who works here are the kindest people ever with the utmost customer service professionalism. This place is pretty pricey, but the food is incredible too. The best bakery on 35th ave hands down!

Lovely baked bread and foods. Also frozen items to take and bake. Great sandwiches. Some menu items are $9 and others $19 which surprised me. Breakfast served all day.

You know, I want to like this place but it just doesn’t do it for me. It’s too corporate, not cozy or comfortable. The food doesn’t inspire. Very forgettable.
