What Hamdi is doing is really special. Exceptional service and delicious food in an exciting atmosphere. This is a perfect date/intimate celebration spot. There is a dish right now on the menu with celery root and smoked yogurt that is the best thing I've eaten all year.
Hamdi was recommended by Johnny Spero chef of Passage at Langley Inn. He gave many recommendations, but after reading about the owners... both protégés of my favorites, I decided on Hamdi... A Sensory symphony...Hypnotically delicious!
One of those meals I know I'm going to remember for a long time. I love seeking out Michelin restaurants, destination restaurants, hole-in-the-wall places, anywhere the food has a story behind it. It doesn't have to be fine dining. I just want something incredible that feels like it means something to the person making it. Hamdi was exactly that. We flew in from San Diego and were only spending one day in Seattle, and Hamdi was specifically one of the places we wanted...
