Hanok is such a gem! I've been eating here often since moving into the neighborhood, and their dishes are delicious. Whenever I have friends or family visit from out of town, this turns into their favorite restaurant. The owners are very kind and offer great service!
It's a cozy space, so make sure to call ahead for a reservation if you plan to go during dinner. They often get booked up, and they will have to start turning away people around 7/7:30 p.m.
They make their kimchis in-house, and I love it! Because they make it themselves, that also means their kimchi flavor will vary slightly depending on the stage if fermentation. Their seasoning is great though, so I've enjoyed it in all stages!
I highly recommend the Dolsot Bibimbap for first-timers. (Make sure to get the Dolsot which is hot stone bowl — if you just get Bibimbap, it is traditionally a cold dish...Some people get confused then are upset it is cold, but that is what they ordered.)
My go-tos are their soups and udon soups! Their broths are flavorful and perfect for the often gloomy weather. At this point, I've likely tried every dish on their menu, and I have yet to be disappointed!
This is a great option for groups since their menu has a good variety of dishes/flavors, and they have vegetarian/vegan options.
*****Order their cinnamon drink for after your meal, and it will really hit the spot! It's good for digestion, and a sweet way to end the meal.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant. Excellent quality food. The Dolsot Bibimbap is amazing. My wife and kids love the Galbi. Everything we’ve tried has been really good. The staff is always very friendly too.
The worst bibimbap I've ever had. It was served cold with raw tofu and zero flavor. Tiny portion as well. I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. Not authentic at all.. Avoid.

Tried Ghimmari for the first time, absolutely scrumptious! They have a large vegetarian selection and every dish is delicious, but I recommend the Chili Tofu that comes with rice, salad and miso soup. The portions were very generous and the service was super friendly 😄

It was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I got the bulgogi and my friend got the bibimbap and it was the best Korean food we’ve ever had. The flavors were great and the way it’s served keeps it warm throughout the meal. The service was great as well and was pretty quick. One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while and I wasn’t even that hungry when we ate there and it was still amazing
