Absolutely wonderful place to share SO many delicious bites with a big table of friends and family. Amazing flavors, seafood boil with noodles, immaculate. Shared soup dumplings with the table and they are the perfect balance to the hot mala sauce with the boil. Mango mousse, ouch sooo good fluffy dream. My words are more like sound effects it was so good. A symphony of celebratory trumpets with lobster branded flags. Can’t wait to return.

We had a birthday lunch here of 15 people. They provided us a private space, music speaker, incredible view, tentative service, and delicious food. My family and friends had an amazing experience. I’m so glad Ballard finally has good Chinese food. Thank you Happy Crab!

Seems like they're still working the kinks out, but they were very busy when I went. Food was pretty good. Like a mashup of the Crab Pot and Din Tai Fung menus.

There have been repeated instances of unprofessional behaviour from certain managers that make servers feel disrepected and undervalued. I hope leadership reviews these concerns to improve professionalism and communication.

Ok the food is ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD. However, they have yet to nail down their timing in the kitchen. That was just about as wacky as the menu. As someone else stated it's funny that you order a side of onion rings (perfect) and it comes with a side of fries. But the diverse menu makes it so there is something for everyone! And you can keep going back because there are so many different things to try! The green bean appetizer was so good my picky kids were loving it! We had a party of seven and every single person raved about their meal! I ordered the shrimp and grits And half of a plum salad and both were amazing! The service we had was pretty lame our waitress had zero personality. And didn't seem to do much about the fact that one of the people in our party still hadn't received their dinner by the time everyone else was finished. If I was serving that would not happen. So unfortunately that person had to get their dinner to go. Also, there seems to be a lot of dead space that should be used. A too spacious entry and very few tables... Not sure how that's going to work. Overall a fun place and looking forward to going again!
UPDATE - went again and ordered the same thing, shrimp and grits. It wasn't as good as the first time. The shrimp were fine but the grits were flavorless like they forgot to add the ingredients that make it taste good. So that was a little disappointing. BUT the service was much better. Granted, this time I went at lunchtime.

Came primarily for the seafood boil but was pleasantly surprised about the offerings they had for Chinese food as well. the garlic string beans was delicious but the highlight was definitely the house special Mala blend flavoring on the seafood boil. I wanted that sauce slathered on everything I ate!

Went here for lunch and tried the Chinese offerings. Food was okay although the xialongbao are not recommended.
Service, though, was very poor. The restaurant was reasonably full with a strong late lunch crowd. But we could only see 1 manager and 1 server. They are supplementing this with a robot. The down side to this is not being able to ask for anything more you need. Another drink, etc. No one checked if our food was OK. It definitely impacted the overall experience negatively

One of the best boils I haver ever had. Sides did not impress. But the boil is the star and worth it.

Our new happy place! Asian-style Cajun/Creole and fried seafood with a great supplemental menu of biang biang noodles, xiao long bao, dumplings and wonton from the Xi'an Noodles people. The seafood boil portion was generous, and the green mussels were crisp and succulent. The happy hour jambalaya and étouffée were again Asian-style but tasty. I had a stiff Paloma cocktail worthy of that from a Chinese bar, although they did not have rye whiskey on hand for an interesting Black Walnut Manhattan. Relaxed spacious atmosphere, lovely panoramic Puget sound view, pleasant low-key service, and cute robot waiters add up to a good value dinner.

Can you top a crab pot? Yesiree! Perhaps put it to shame.

Views? Spectacular.

Food? Easily better than what I can recall or conjure.

Service? JR was a dream, attentive without being pushy. I can't recall feeling better after a meal.

Happy Crab is an inspiration to better food and better service.

Delicious! Excellent service, our server JR was so accommodating and brought our toddler extra noodles since he was loving them. The crab cakes, dumplings, and green beans were all fantastic. Will definitely be back.
