I highly recommend Danny Kochanowski. They are an open-hearted and compassionate therapist who is skilled at using IFS to help clients reconnect with all parts of themselves.

I have been a client here for I believe around 8 months, and I my experience has been overall positive. My current therapist is Caitlin (love her!). She is exactly what I need at this point in my life. On some days we chat like friends catching up over coffee. On other days she encourages me to talk through difficult topics with her. I really recommend seeing Caitlin if you want a therapist who is fun and chill, but gets the job done.I don’t love that insurance is not "accepted"— they instead do Superbills. It’s a little annoying, but.. not that deep.

Have Heart Wellness is home to some wonderful providers who care deeply about their clients. I have especially enjoyed working with Lenni, whose passion for and dedication to their work is unmatched. I will absolutely be referring clients to Have Heart in the future!

My therapist failed to provide the correct signatures from their supervisor, which resulted in my disability claims being denied. They assured me that they had worked to help people successfully take time off for anxiety, but the whole process has created extra stress for me. I had sent them the guidelines for what was needed to file for my claim, but they kept sending the forms back to me with missing dates and missing signatures.Although the actual therapy treatment was decent, this clerical error has cost me thousands of dollars in loss of income.

I've had the opportunity to participate in groups co-created and facilitated by Danny Kochanowski. Danny has an amazing ability to hold space in a way that allows me to feel truly seen as a complete being in all my humanity. He is thoughtful and intentional about how he shows up, uses his words, and brings curiosity. I am grateful I have the chance to heal and grow with Danny. I feel confident in recommending him to others who are on a healing journey.

These people lead me to believe I would be covered with a change of my insurance plan. That was not the case. I definitely should have been more diligent on my end but I was told I’d be covered. The worst part is I REALLY liked the individual I worked with. She was wonderful. Now I’m out hundreds of dollars and I can no longer see her. It was an incredibly frustrating, disheartening experience. I don’t believe anyone there intended it to be so and I hope no one else has the experience I had.

Consider this is a giant red flag: consultations are ethically dubious as they are not with the actual therapist, it is a phone call with a trainee that has yet to obtain their credentials, they're also unprofessional and twice they hang up mid call.Your first time speaking with a practicing/licensed therapist would be when you're paying for a session which is not the norm in the industry. That they can't even make the time for 15 minute consultations with their patients prior to a full session is the first impression of their values approaching wellness and it seems disorganized and dangerous for that to be the responsibility of the most inexperienced member of their team to make a recommendation to pair you with one of the members of their group.Again, the person making the phone consultation is not a therapist: makes assumptions, attempts to deny patient needs advocating for their care/needs, and gaslights because "they're just doing their job" which makes the process uncomfortable and dangerous for those seeking wellness. Beware.

I made a phone appointment, they didn't show up. I emailed and called with no response. Doesn't seem like they're active.

I had a great experience working with Aster at Have Heart. Aster is very knowledgeable about nutrition and health in general. They have a very kind and compassionate approach. I learned a lot about nutrition and now feel that I have new tools and skills with which to approach food and eating.

Brooke has reshaped my life. In the 4.5 years we've worked together, I have become a person with more choice around my reactions, more space to accept my emotions, and more access to my ability to both set boundaries, and connect.B has since moved into group sessions, and I have the unique opportunity of working with them in this capacity, too. Somatic therapy has drastically changed my life.I have just started seeing a different therapist in the same practice, and I am more than excited to see where my journey goes.Somatic therapy with Have Heart Wellness is the reason I am still here, today.

while some brilliant therapists have worked with have heart, i implore you to not trust this organization with your mental healthcare or your money. have heart’s clinical director, brooke stepp, fired my therapist of over a year this january. my therapist put in her notice, presumably because she learned about the insurance fraud brooke had been committing. instead of allowing her to work through her notice period and have final sessions with her clients, they instantly terminated her and she lost access to her work email, rendering her unable to follow up with her clients. im sure i was not her only client in crisis at the time. have heart’s new receptionist called me and said they’d send me an email about some changes in my care, but i didn’t receive an email. my treatment just ended with no notice during an excruciatingly rough mental health season. its so unprofessional and careless. once have heart saw me posting about this on facebook, they did call me and forwarded me their “continuation of care” email, but only after ghosting me for nearly a month. the email gave no reason for my therapists departure, but made it sound like she had died (thankfully i know she is alive and well). it then listed out therapists and their racial identities like ice cream flavors, suggesting any one of them could replace her. it was really unsettling and tokenizing to read. i invited brooke community conversation about this situation on a social media forum, and they never responded, but emailed me personally a few hours after i tagged them, apparently trying to assuage my frustration with have heart’s careless and predatory practices. ive never been brooke’s client and at the time of their email i had not been a client at have heart for a month, so it was a violation of my boundaries for them to contact me via my personal email. this situation has made clear that the collective liberation/social justice talk from have heart is a facade. on a structural level, it’s glaringly absent.EDI 5/1/21: i want to bring more attention to the fact that the three new five star reviews are from a “self employment coach” and two friends of brooke. not have heart clients. if HH ran a good business they wouldn't have to ask friends for positive reviews. this is all really strange behavior for someone who claims to value justice and accountability. take care of your mental health and seek counseling elsewhere <3

The three new five star reviews are from a “self employment coach” and the other two are from friends of the owner. Idk. There is some weird stuff going on at this place.

Have Heart is a gem! They value inclusivity and accessibility and it shows in the care they provide for their clients. They approach therapy and nutrition from a trauma-informed, social justice perspective that is rare to find - they truly walk the talk! I refer to Have Heart often and have had wonderful experiences with Brooke and their talented staff!

I first met Brooke in 2016 and ever I've always seen them act with the epitome of a high ethical standard. They are a consummate business person, and has been able to extend their reach and teaching while also practicing what they preach. If you're looking for trauma-informed and Health-at-every-size (HAES) Have Heart is a great place to check out!
