The bar says open until 2 am, but then closed at 1 am. They kept turning people away as we were sitting upstairs. Eventually they turned the music off and started vacuuming so we got the hint, without even telling us anything. I asked if they close at 1 am, and they said they do when it's dead. But I literally watched them turn people away. They caused it to be dead.
If this is a 1 am bar, update your hours. And drop the passive aggressiveness - just tell us you're closing.

Service was excellent. Keith takes exceptional pride in his craft and it is reflected in his service and concoctions. The ambience was intimate. 9.3/10 will be back agajn.

A large group of us came after the Sloop Tavern Yacht Club Xmas party and took over the 2nd floor room. It was perfect. We could be loud without bothering anyone and was spacious enough to fit everyone. The drinks were great and service was friendly. I didn't rate the food because I didn't eat.

Great drinks, great music, great bartender who gave great food recs (we made it to Hattie's after)! Had a dark and stormy and the person I was with got the awesome grapefruit drink that was very similar to a poloma. I then had their gin and spicy pickle drink, and it was sooooo good!!

Marquetta is the best!! I’ve worked in Ballard for years, but never made it to Hazelwood until today. They have a killer happy hour, but their regular drink prices are also great! Both of my cocktails were delicious, and this place has such a cute vibe. I can’t wait to visit again!

Great cocktails, but whole smells like a dirty ashtray when they let people smoke right in front of the door, so we went somewhere else instead.
Nice little cocktail lounge in Ballard. Inventive drinks. We went on a Sunday before Memorial Day, and there was just one bartender (and no other obvious staff). He still served with a smile despite busing glassware and getting ice and the line snaked out the door. That’s on management, but this is clearly a nice place

Stopped in for drinks, the hostess was wonderful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ordered drinks at first and were considering dessert. Our waitress delivered our drinks and we never saw her again.

Hazelwood is an amazing bar! My wife and I went here this evening and had extremely well made cocktails, well balanced and perfectly made! My wife and I are drink-snobs and I highly recommended this place. Keith was a killer bar tender and will be back for sure! Plus their bathroom was spotless!
