Got an iced caramel latte and spinach + cheese savory pastry. The espresso flavor was delicious and had the perfect ratio of coffee, milk, and syrup. The pastry however was disappointing. The spinach had a sour aftertaste and I couldn't even taste the cheese. Personally I'd come here again but skip the pastry.

Herkimer! First off, the coffee is outstanding. You can see that magnificent roasting machine is right there in the shop. The magical bean smell lifts your heels 2 inches off the ground. I’m a simpleton and the drip coffee does it for me every time. Although I change it up between their blend, Kenya and Ethiopia varieties. Yum yum! And second, and more importantly, the people working here are what make this place so special. It’s truly a community. Shout out to the entire crew: Ginny (Best giggle in King County) Clara (their tattoos are 10/10!) Emma (running the show like a boss!), Jackie (repping the east side) Joey (the next crim J scholar), Ziggy, Dani, and everyone I missed! The neighborhood is brighter because of you.

Great little coffee shop. Baristas are all good at their craft and they roast their own beans in the back. Go to place for a proper espresso

I stop at Herkimer every time I have to roll through Phinney. Cold brew and a chocolate chip cookie, neither disappoint. Staff is always professional and friendly, and the queue can get long but the team does amazing work to burn down the line without making customers feel unwelcome or rushed.Parking: Street parking, there's little to none no matter what time of day it is. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find an open space, but be prepared to hunt for a while. It's Phinney, what were you expecting?

Clean, well lit, and consistently good coffee, friendly staff too. Their roast is light, so many flavors across the varieties. I like dark roast as well, but just calling this out. Good place...and many customers make the place a busy store. Great location to meet people and check out Phinney Ridge life, plus walking distance to other nice places like Ben's Breads. Only drawback is the volume of customers can make it difficult to get a table.

This is my favorite coffee shop around. Roasting on site, welcoming environment, and expedient service even when they are busy. Good days start here.

Great coffee! Crowded, no available seats, so I took my order to go, also parking was challenging to put it politely. May be best for locals.

Editing to give 5 stars instead of 4. I appreciate the response!Stopped off here on the way to work for a last-minute breakfast and some caffeine. Now, I should have checked more closely as a non-coffee drinker regarding the offerings, but I was surprised to hear they didn't have a chai! The super nice employee made me a London fog with a chai tea bag, but I will say it wasn't particularly good (though it also wasn't a chai latte so my expectations weren't high). I did appreciate the suggestion, and the service was great. I also had the most delicious morning glory muffin. Are your baked goods made in-house, or is there a local bakery I can go thank for that awesomeness?

Seattle honestly dosent have the coffee seen it use to. However this place said "NAHHHHH WE GONNA BE BALLER." And so it is. Great staff, creama poured with precision of deliciousness, and folks who genuinely want you to be there.
