Great little lunch spot. Wife and I rode the ferry to Bainbridge and came back here for lunch! So glad we did! Brisket Lipstick sandwich for me and a brisket salad for my wife! Great tasting food and southern atmosphere!

Small place with big flavors. First time eating here and we got it to go. If I'm in the area I will get it again. The cornbread was fantastic.

Not many hours they’re open, but the bbq is tasty. Would put it in the top 3 I’ve had in the region, pretty much tied with the other 2 (brileys and pecos, purely my opinion) The people working today were super friendly. The brownie on the side was also great. The only complaint I have is the way the food was packaged, got a two meat platter of chicken and pork, it came in one box with no divider. By the time I opened the box, the meats had fully mixed together. I wasn’t entirely sure what was pork and what was chicken, as they’re both shredded. The meat pile tasted great though - I’m sure in the future if traveling by bike like I was, one could ask for them in two separate containers. Just worth keeping in mind if you grab a platter to go.

If you're in Seattle, and happen to have the chance to visit here, do not let it pass. Friendly staff, amazing food, and a clean casual interior, this is the must go to spot for lunch. I have never bought a sandwich with such tender, melt in your mouth, pulled meat, and I am unsure if I ever will again. 😊

I was very excited to try this place based on the reviews,But unfortunately its was a big disappointment 😞.The bun was very soggy and the pulled chicken -dark meat was cold and it was a mess to much sauce.

Wow so good!

Had the combo with brisket, pulled pork, cornbread and a side of chili. I don’t know how I finished it all, the portions were huge.

We also took the spicy link sausage and that was very good too. Price was cheap cheap compared to the rest of Seattle!

Must come!!

Taylor and John,
thank you guys for a fantastic lunch.
To put it simply....
Wow.
Outstanding job.
My wife and I are from Tallahassee, Florida and are in town seeing all the sights for a few more days.
Lunch today was my choice and you knocked it out of the park.
Amazing brisket sandwich and hot link.
The chili was hands down the best I've ever had.
But the cornbread.
My wife's cornbread disappears in an instant when she makes it.
She took one bite of your and stopped, smiled and turned to me and swore it was better than hers.
I had a bite and agreed.
We both were amazed.
You've been in business since '89 and we know why.
Here's another round of applause from us to you.

Thank you.

I work close by and I'm always on the lookout for new places to try. BBQ isn't well represented downtown so I was happy to find this place close by. Really nice restaurant in pioneer square with a nice selection of meats, sides and different platters. Prices aren't too crazy but this is still some expensive BBQ (normal in Seattle). I will definitely return!

Small and mighty BBQ spot in Seattle. Was there during my trip.

They prepared a fantastic sampler and combo for me - the brisket is amazing

Server was awesome. Food was terrible, (except the potato salad, that was pretty good) probably the worst Bbq I have ever had in the US. Tasted like the cheapest possible meat cooked in an oven with a bit of newspaper set on fire to smoke it. Never again.

Brisket melts in your mouth. Salad is a great value for a healthy lunch. Always friendly and good music on the speakers. Has all but replaced my other lunch spots while working downtown!
