Spectacular beers!
On our Seattle trip we already had Holy Mountain tagged as one of our destinations, based on Reddit recommendations.
The first thing you see upon entering is a room made to look like The Black Lodge from Twin Peaks, and once I saw that I knew we were in the right place. Then in the taproom I saw the giant Jodorwosky poster and that just confirmed it. Very casual place with an excellent beer selection, with pizza available from a place next door.
Bonus points for a LARGE selection of merchandise, including a ton of t-shirts.....
Overall the beers were very decent and I appreciated how they had a nice variety of different summer beer options. There weren’t any beers that were great, the space was very industrial and not great to relax at and they had items on their menu that weren’t available to order. A decent brewery but a bit disappointing from the praises I heard from others.
The beer was alright, and the atmosphere was great. Being able to bring in your own food is a big plus for sure
They refuse to give any samples because they say it takes time they can use to serve others. The were to could and me, total of 5 people in the whole place ...
Top or top 2 brewery in Seattle! Beers are unbelievable and it doesn't hurt that they spin records too. I want mad about listening to Zeppelin 2 during my visit:)
Holy Mountain might be my favorite Seattle brewery. It is simple and modern, plays metal exclusively and every single beer I have had has clearly been made with care, expertise and intention.
The Black Beer was great!
Great folks, great beer!
Beers are solid. I like the heavy metal vibe. Parking is goofy. No flights and no samples is kind of bullsh*t.

We went in on the evening of August 31, 2024. The staff member on duty was very friendly, and unbelievably knowledgeable about the beers on tap, explaining the ones we chose very easily. The beers themselves were beyond amazing! The music selection was also incredible (assuming you enjoy heavy metal, like we do). Both my girlfriend and I loved this brewery, and will be adding it to our list of breweries to visit in Seattle! Holy Mountain is fully worth the trip from Calgary!
Great beers!! The ambience is kinda boring and too relaxed
Had to drive by twice before trying the back alley and seeing this taproom. Friendly staff, good selection of different types of beer available. Self serve water. I found parking confusing with all the "No parking" signs.
**1. The Glass of Thunder:**
In the frost-kissed halls of Valhalla, where the echoes of electric guitars reverberate through the mead-soaked air, the Nordic gods of metal music gather. Their thirst, like their riffs, knows no bounds. And so, the master brewer of the divine brewery crafts a glass of beer worthy of these immortal headbangers. The obsidian-black glass, etched with runes of power, gleams mysteriously. A creamy, khaki head rests atop, like the foam of a stormy sea whipped by Odin's winds. When held to the light, crimson highlights dance within, reminiscent of the blood spilled in epic battles.
**2. A Symphony of Flavors:**
Roasted malt and campfire smoke intertwine—a scent that lingers like the memory of a thousand guitar solos. Hints of Nordic spices—juniper berries, cloves, and a dash of Odin's wisdom—waft forth. The first sip is a lightning strike: bold, electrifying. Dark chocolate, burnt caramel, and a chorus of espresso beans sing a harmonious riff. A crescendo of licorice and oak barrels, aged in the roots of Yggdrasil, follows suit. The mouthfeel is full-bodied, like the armor of a berserker, yet velvet-smooth, as if Freyja herself weaves silk from moonbeams. Carbonation dances like Valkyries on a battlefield.
**3. The Final Chord:**
Lingering warmth, akin to standing too close to Surtur's flames. A final chord of bitterness, like the taste of betrayal. The gods raise their horns, chanting, "Skål!" as they drain the glass, ready to rock the realms once more. And so, the glass of Mjölnir's Brew stands empty, a tribute to the gods who shred across the cosmos. May their mosh pits echo through eternity! ??
I love HM, it has been a regular haunt for my friends and I for a little over a year; the selection is always great and the atmosphere is one of the best for young (and almost not so young) adults in Seattle. Yesterday (meant to get his name) the man in the glasses handling the bar around 515 provided exceptional recommendations and service. There was a little hiccup with our bill but even though it got busy he made sure that we were well taken care of in the end while leading us to two great brews that I hadn’t tried before -and just might be my new favorites. Thank you for being cool and reminding me why I keep coming back
