The Queen Anne How to Cook a Wolf is consistent in being excellent. The food is always prepared to perfection. The ingredients are well sourced. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff is incredibly friendly without being intrusive. It's my favorite neighborhood restaurant and one of my top 3 in Seattle.
Solid higher end establishment for a good dinner. Came here for a work outing with a reservation, but I'd recommend doing a reservation just in case.
Service was good. They really helped with portions for appetizers. We had the bread, Brussels sprouts, and a few others I can't remember. Highly recommend the sprouts.
We shared various pasta dishes. I felt like some of the noodles were a bit overcooked. I loved the venison ragu and the spicy shrimp pasta...

Food and atmosphere are great, but service was subpar, especially considering they tack on an automatic 22% to every single table!! Tip culture is out of control. I would understand if I was dining at somewhere like Canlis where the service was above and beyond, but the service here was average at best and 22% is outrageous. Won't be coming back anytime soon. Do better ESR.
