Great food (especially the Salmon Skin Roll and the Phad Thai!), charming atmosphere, and a super friendly and attentive server made this a delightful spot for lunch! They were accommodating for allergies and our server was very knowedable about everything on the menu. Definitely recommend this place!

I've been going to Jae's since I first moved to Seattle over 20 years ago. Hands down the best spicy tuna roll I've had. I don't even bother getting it at other restaurants because Jae has ruined me for any other. His 5-spice tuna carpaccio salad is also something I dream of...with the house made ponzu sauce that's so good I want to drink it. Hot tip: it's always party time when you sit at the bar.

creative and quality rolls, really friendly owner and staff, cozy ambience. wonderful place
Jae's is in our neighborhood, so we go there often. We have tried so many of their dishes, one of my favorites are Gindara Kazu Zuke, Baked Alaska Roll , Beef Lotus Salad, and so many more.
I really enjoyed Jae’s, especially the conversation I had with the chef behind the sushi bar (I failed to catch his name, unfortunately). A little on the pricey side but I thought the miso soup was delicious to start, and the size of the salmon bento box surprised me, perhaps only because I’d never ordered a one before. It was pretty big! The salmon was well cooked, the rice was perfect, tempura yummy, and I think my favorite ended up being the gyoza, it was a must try. The waiter was a little new and that showed in knowledgeability but they took direction from the other staff well and were very kind. I housed every last bite of my meal and then really struggled to walk my full belly back up Thomas to where I was staying lol. Overall I had a really nice dine-in experience and would return.

Every time I come to Jae’s I have a delightful experience. Most recently I did sushi bar omakase and it was so much fun. Jae is an amazing host and creative chef and treats his guests like they’re special. The sushi is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a yummy sushi experience in Seattle. Thank you Jae!! ❤️

Extremely disappointed. Made a booking and arrived on time. Awaited 20 mins for our orders to be taken. Waited another 25 mins thereafter for the food to arrive. Mapo tofu was over seasoned, so disgustingly salty that we couldn’t eat it. Bento box’s tempura and gyoza were soggy. Eel maki was the only thing that tasted okay, but there was barely any eel in it. Waiters did not know what they were doing, running around the place, spilling water all over the table — perhaps not their fault, they all looked under age 18 and need more training. For the 3 items, the bill came out to be more than $80. Super overpriced for the quality and poor experience. Worst dining experience I’ve had in Seattle.

Went with a party of 4 on a Monday night, which can always be hit or miss at a restaurant. Everyone ordered different dishes and everyone was extremely pleased with their food. Individual choices ranged widely across the menu. We also had great service and it was a great environment to spend time with others and have pleasant conversation without feeling like you had to yell across the table.
