In town visiting my daughter and we tried out this small cafe right down the street. Staff was ultra friendly and efficient. Drinks are top notch and my daughter who is a vanilla latte connoisseur said it was great. My cappuccino was solid and the value was A+.
Jake’s is well worth a stop.

Pretty bare-bones coffee shop, but the owner is amazing and so friendly.
A couple of students came in while I was sitting there and forgot their wallet, she made their drink on the honor system and told them to just pay next time.
That type of service, trust and kindness doesn't happen too often anymore.
I'll do anything to support this little coffee shop.
I love this place! The owner is incredibly sweet and speedy and the room is great for getting some studying done. Prices are also good, my only gripe is that the drinks are only alright (espresso is kind of meh), but being priced well and being a cozy, welcoming place absolutely makes it worth that any day of the week!

The owner was very nice and welcoming. The cafe itself is very cozy and homey. She offered to turn on the heater for me when I walked in because I was freezing. She also checks on the customers to see if they need anything while they’re there. Overall it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in all the cafes I’ve been to.

No restroom even for paying customers. Perhaps that's a health code violation? They sell snacks and have tables but "no restrooms"

First time here and the lady working seemed to know everyone by name. She was so sweet. The shop felt like it was run with care and the coffee is delicious. I’ll be back!

The owner is pretty rude and has a bad temper. Whenever a customer would leave she would talk crap about them in Chinese and made it seem like they did something wrong. I only wanted a nice cup of coffee to study but realized there are better places on the ave.

Service alone makes this place deserve 5 star. The auntie making the coffee is so nice and thoughtful. Don’t even get me started on the price. Easily the cheapest coffee at Udistrict. As a coffee enthusiast that grinds his own bean and makes espresso at home, the taste of Jake’s coffee is decent. Can’t complain for the price!
