Our party of four enjoyed a birthday dinner at Jak's recently. The staff was great, timing food and drink orders perfectly, giving us time to munch and visit. I had the steak salad, a plate of fresh greens, caramelized onions, tomatoes, romaine, balsamic vinaigrette, and crumbled blue cheese with a generous portion of perfectly prime sirloin. The menu offers 6 or 12 oz portions on the steak. For me, 6 oz. steak at $29 was more than enough. Jak's has a fun, casual vibe....
This was my second time here and it was absolutely divine. Funny enough, Connor was my waiter the first time. He was attentive but also gave us room to breathe. My portion was perfect, neither generous nor greedy; I felt satiated. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and it was delectable without breaking the bank. The coffee was good enough to get 5 refills. Overall a good experience. The food was good although my steak was not cooked to temperature I had selected nor were the eggs but that was promptly remedied. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive in a non obtrusive way
