Truly a 5/5 experience! Food was phenomenal and service was friendly and prompt. Food came out very quickly and the atmosphere is upscale casual. We came for happy hour — prices were very reasonable for the quality! Cannot wait to come back. 😋
We’ve been wanting to visit Japonessa for a long time, and it absolutely exceeded every expectation. We even planned a trip around finally dining here, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our visit to Seattle.
Every single dish we ordered was incredible. The Barcelona Sunset Roll and the Lady Bug Samba Roll were both outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

Visited this restaurant while in Seattle for a few days. Loved everything we ordered, and we had a wide variety - several kinds of sushi rolls, pork gyoza, tempura brie (!), ginger chicken, and sukiyaki beef donburi. Everything came out quickly, and was delicious. Our waiter, Ross D, was very attentive. Very much enjoyed this experience.
