Popped by and was surprised by one of the best cortados at an incredible price. The barista was friendly and even pre-warmed the mug with hot water (what a touch!). Java Jahn feels is a true gem of Seattle independent coffeehouses.
I visit Java Jahn once or twice a year - typically when my car is getting maintenance nearby. If I simply walked in, ordered and received, and then left it would be very nice - but probably not worth telling you all about. Instead, what's special to me about Java Jahn is the study in shared humanity. If you want to untangle your biases, unravel your preconceptions, chip away at your stereotypes go spend an hour there - watching and listening from a small table in the loft...
Lovely little shop, very aesthetic. Isabelle was super kind, quick, and friendly. Great recommendations, I got the coconut cream cold brew. We chatted for a moment and she shared with me that the beans are roasted locally and they make their own cold brew. The coffee is very tasty, nice and strong, not very acidic, which is much appreciated. 10/10 would recommend and will be back when I visit Seattle again.
