Family run cozy place, but authentic Ethiopian food. Nice vegetarian options, healthy and flavorful food. If you have not tried Ethiopian cuisine yet, it is must try.

Loved this place so much! I used to be a regular at Chef Cafe, and returning to Seattle to find it closed was really sad. I found Jebena, and it's even better!

Incredibly warm and thoughtful service. Jebena combo is the way to go! So much variety. I think it’s a solid amount for 2 hungry people - not sure if it’s fully feed 3.

The owner is one of the kindest, humble and authentic women, in an industry that will burn you out in ten seconds flat. It never fails to amaze me how she keeps it every day, all day despite difficult circumstances.
And the FOOD! Their samosas are uniquely good, I have to believe they are made in house or something. Perfectly fried flaky on the outside but not dry, actually perfectly tender and moist on the inside. I’ve literally never been disappointed - it has a freshness and flavor that can often be lost at larger operations.
The Jabena Special is the move. It comes with the perfect amount of variety and plenty of the best part - injera!
I cannot recommend Jabena more highly. Make it your next night out!!

I am not a big fan of Ethiopian food in general but I always go here with my family (they love the food) w/o complaining because I love the experience of dining here. The owner is kind and attentive, always smiling and making sure that we're enjoying our meal. Their samosa is pretty good, I always order 2-3 for myself!

A friend and I tried this place for the first time, and we loved it. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and bright and the food was incredible. We ordered one of their meat combos, which came with injera, a couple of different meats, lentils, shiro wat, spinach, and salad. The portions were great and everything was super flavorful. We also had the foul, which was really nice, served with soft, pillowy bread. Also, our server was so kind and friendly. She checked on us several times and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend this place and understand now why it's so highly rated!

The owner and her son are lovely people. I have a hard time deciding between Ahadu vs Jebena every time.
Tibs goes to Ahadu, gored gored gored to Jebena, kitfo are both stellar and dead even for both of these neighbors.

Not a connoisseur of Ethiopian food, but we really enjoyed our experience! The woman running the spot was so sweet and amazing. She wants everyone to enjoy the food and clearly takes pride in having happy customers.
We thought the food was delicious! Best injera I’ve ever had. I’ve only had Ethiopian a few times over the years, so I don’t know how it compares, but everything tasted very fresh and healthy and flavorful!
Everything is a great price and we’ll definitely come back!

Jebena is a top tier restaurant. Was lucky enough to find this gem on a cold winter day. Beef tibs were great. All the lentils were very flavourful. I like their injera bread. The food was great. The dining room is cozy. And the service from the staff was friendly and informative. Highly recommend this place!
