The food tastes good, but the portion sizes are inconsistent. My jollof rice came with a large serving of rice and a very small piece of fish. For the price, I expected better portion balance.

We had Egusi soup which has very tender lamb and smoky, complex flavor of a long-simmered stew. We also tried the plantain, which was hands down the best plaintain I've ever had. The owner was so friendly, the customer service was amazing! We can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Let me tell you something!!! That lady in there cooking that food up by herself and she doing her thang!! Itโs great pricing great service great quality of food! Her meats were so tender! Her plasas has REAL cassava leaf it was the right consistency of okra in the okra soup the meat pies were ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅIโve gone from lynnwood to Tacoma and she wins HANDS DOWN !! Best African restaurant in Washington state.

So sorry but this was one of the worst meals of my life. Very expensive and inedible food. Lots of bones, skin, eyeballs in the fish soup. The flavor was good but the meat in the rice dish was so tough and full of fat and gristle it was impossible to eat. The dough balls to dip in the broth were served wrapped tightly in molten hot plastic Saran Wrap which was very off-putting. I hate leaving a poor review for a small family-run restaurant but maybe this feedback will help improve the place.

Plasas and egusi always hits here. The soup flavors are incredible, but they seriously skimp on meat cuts, both in variety and amount, considering how steep the price is. They could also improve the ventilation of the restaurant which got uncomfortably smoky during one visit.

This restaurant is a true hidden gem! I ordered the egusi soup and my boyfriend had the lamb domoda, it was so tender it literally fell clean off the bone. We also shared meat pies and plantains, and both were amazing: the pies were flaky and savory, and the plantains perfectly caramelized. What really shines here is how thoughtful and authentic the cooking feels. You can taste the care in every bite. Comforting, and absolutely delicious. I canโt wait to come again! Thank you!!!

Super delicious - I had the egusi with lamb and fufu and it was wonderful, but my friend had the peanut stew and I was jealous because that was somehow even better!! Fried plantains were perfect, ginger pineapple juice was zingy and refreshing. Very kind staff. Will definitely be back!

This place is phenomenal. In this city, the stars are typically inflated. This place is actually underrated here on Google. Should easily be 4.9 or 5.0 stars. I looked up how to eat with fufu on YouTube prior to eating my meal.

Menu was new to us so we tried a bit of everything. Service was friendly (gave us an additional drink to try!) Stand out dishes were yasa with the fish and jollof rice with lamb. Will be back again for this gem.

Very good food and friendly service. Egusi soup was great with bold fish-umami flavors. Nicely done fufu. Baobab juice was delicious and a must try for everyone.
