Everything is cool,but the seating is Very uncomfortable.. too bad they took out the comfy booths that they used to have. The owner is really nice,but with my bad back,I can't recommend it unless you don't mind bad seating
Jules Maes is a working saloon. If you are into moderately lit bars of old to ancient dark wood with semi-tarnished brass work, then Jules Maes with scratch that itch. The service is friendly but easily distracted. The drinks are typical. The menu is inspired, reasonably priced and competent cooks are on board to execute it. The food and the Legacy (the staff will be more than happy to clue you in) are the only things keeping Jules Maes from becoming just another old dive. I...
Possibly Seattle's oldest bar, but clean and well-kept. If you like old school bars, you'll love it. Has typical bar food, a good assortment of brews on tap, ping pong tables, occasionally live music in the back room. Parking can be challenging on busy nights, several other popular bars and restaurants in the area.
