This is my new favorite Caribbean restaurant in the city and the only one I can recommend. Authentic ingredients, delicious food as well as a small grocery store so you can take some Jamaican staples home.

I’ve been this place a few times over the past year and it had been hit or miss. My most recent experience was completely pathetic. I walked in and saw all the food uncovered. The server was eating at the register and I had to ask the server a couple times what she had on the menu for the day and what the cost of the entree’s were. She said I can look on line if I needed to know the prices. She had no idea what the costs were. I then asked her about a promotion that was posted in a sign on the counter, but she exclaimed that “oh, I forgot about this promotion and what the details are. I don’t much about it”. In the middle of our conversation , another customer came up and asked to be helped. The server told me that she will need to help this new customer first then she will get back to me. I was so turned off by the presentation, lack of awareness, or customer service, I left without ordering.
As a fellow Jamaican, I felt so embarrassed that this place says they are representing Jamaican food and culture. This is NOT it. Please get it together.

I live in Tacoma and had a studio session in Seattle so I stopped here and she was so friendly! The food was a nice portion it cost about $24 with tax included! Tasty food, great customer service! I had no trouble parking!

Those oxtails melt in your mouth; this lady truly has a gift for cooking. The flavor of those oxtails is incredible, with a great gravy that elevates the dish. A clean kitchen is important to me, and I’m grateful for the amazing food.

I got the curry chicken and the meat just falls right off the bone! the salad is fresh and the rice is nourishing. Food was also ready right away, very convenient. I will return!

Was on a mission for oxtails and sadly to say they were hard almost unchewable. There weren't any sides but salad. Customer Service was great but the food wasn't good at all. The food was warm and peas and rice really didn't have much flavor. I make oxtails and the meat is usually tender and melted in your mouth. I don't think I'd go back. It's not worth $20 a plate. At ALL!!!

Lol at these reviews, its like you never had jamaican food before. They are never going to kiss your behind, they are straight forward, laid back people. You order your food, you get your food and leave. Go to fine dining if you want your behind kissed. The food is always good( east coaster) been to yaad(jamaica) many times. No difference in food or service.

they ran out of food and cancelled order at pickup time.

update: to better serve their customers, they could reject orders when they run out of food rather than accepting orders that cannot be filled and cancelling at the pickup window. my low scoring is because of poor customer service. a refund of my order doesn't give me back 20-30 minutes of driving, which was easily preventable on their part.
