The atmosphere is dark and have a musty smell, there is only one server so everything takes longer. I ordered first but three tables that came after got their food first and my order only came 15 min after. The boat noodle soup has a strange sour taste, there were a lot of noodles and some stale chewy meat, there wasn’t pork meatballs like mentioned in the menu. Definitely not coming back. The bill was $36 which was overpriced for the quality of the food and the services, consider other Thai restaurants.

Occasion Bday dinner with my bestie! Food Yellow curry with tofu (5/5) my friend thought this dish was absolutely delectable! Khao moo (5/5) braised pork portion was huge and the rice was delicious! I would 10/10 order this dish again Service Kyle was a stellar server. He was super friendly, funny, and super conversational with us! He made a sweet hibiscus tea and I would order this for the summer. Ambiance Casual Highly recommend!

Good food! Small restaurant but big flavor! The bartender/server (At least the same person every past visit) is friendly and is always welcoming, and helpful. I like their shrimp pad Thai, it's my favorite dish. Their crab rangoons are yum as well. I would maybe stick with a straight liquor and or mixer, because the cocktails were just alright. I would like to try a veggie dish one day!

My sister and I stopped and ate here before attending a comedy show. It is a small restaurant and it got pretty busy. We ordered some appetizers. We got the spri g rolls they were good, but not enough stuffing in them, we also had chicken skewer, which was very tasty. I would go back and actually get a meal

Good good food. Nice ambiance, friendly waiter, cozy cocktail bar. The Thai food? some of the best I've ever had. We had yellow curry & spicy eggplant. 5 stars! We will stop by on our next trip through Seattle for sure.

Very good food and atmosphere, the spicy eggplant was very good, but when you order medium it’s going to taste mild so level

Went in with a friend on a Monday night - we were initially the only people there (6pm) but it picked up a bit. I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu 3 stars - I probably could have gone with 4 stars but you never know with a new restaurant. My dish was fantastic! I had to actively stop eating reminding myself that I wanted leftovers for lunch. The waiter was very kind and attentive. The restaurant was clean and adorable. I loved the little elevated window tables for two. Can't wait to come back!

I got their version of Drunken Noodles. It was really good. My partner got Broccoli beef and thought it was average and as expected. Food came quickly even with it being a really busy Saturday Night.

I love Kai's Thai Street Food and Bar. I haven't had a single bad dish here. The presentation is beautiful. The prices are reasonable (for Seattle). The staff is friendly. What more could you want? About the menu: Kai's has all the standard Thai dishes (like pad thai, spring rolls, curry, etc) but also has some great entrees that you won't see at every Thai restaurant, like Kao Kha Moo (braised pork). They also added Thaiger Room's menu (after the restaurant just across the street was shut down due to an unfortunate fire in the building). I really like their fried pork belly appetizer, which is sinfully fatty without being too oily. They make a great Pad Woon Sen (savory glass noodles), which is my favorite Thai dish. They also have a full bar and make several unique non-alcoholic drinks, like the color-changing butterfly pea lemonade. They also make THE BEST CRAB FRIED RICE!!! Big, beautiful, real pieces of crab atop a salty, savory, eggy fried rice. Fantastic. I also appreciate that they're always available via Uber Eats, Postmates, and other food delivery apps, which means that I can satisfy my craving even when I'm working from home. About the location: Super convenient, literally next door to the U District Link Station. The restaurant is very small and has very limited seating (not more than 25 people, if I remember correctly). The tables only seat 2-4 people. If they're not too busy (and they usually aren't, except the evening on weekends), they might be able to pull a couple of tables together. But there just isn't that much space to work with. So, it's better to come in a small group. I think this would be a really nice spot for a date, too.

5 stars for service because the man who was working/took my order was wonderful. However, I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. Went in on a whim after getting groceries, only to pay $20 for a very small portion of food. Got the Mongolian beef and on the menu it says it's served on a bed of broccoli.... What I received was beef and a few broccoli on a bed of sesame oil/grease. Which would be fine if it was a larger portion because there's bound to be a large amount of oil, just didn't seem right given the small portion I received. So much oil (not sauce) I actually did not mix the rice with the beef and broccoli because didn't want to only taste sesame...Probably won't be going back because I'm used to slightly larger portions (that lead to having seconds when getting Thai food takeout). Not going to say where I usually go since I respect this restaurant, just wish portions/price points were better....
