I've been here a few times, last night was just cocktails at the nearby Neptune. It's a great location, just steps from the light rail station. I've rated the establishment before, and I am upping my starts to give stars. We dined there the previous week on the spur of the moment. The menu isn't huge, but it has so many of my favorites. Last week I had Kao Kha Moo, braised pork. It was delicious, very tender perfectly braised pork, as well as perfectly cooked...
I really liked the food here, but my group was charged a service fee/auto-gratuity that wasn't disclosed anywhere I could see. We paid directly on a card reader and were never given a receipt that broke down the total. The waiter did say there was a service fee when I asked directly.
I understand charging a service fee (we had a large group) but it felt like they were hoping we wouldn't notice.

Every time I come here I have to get their green curry with a Thai iced tea. Kai Thai’s food bar is one of the few Thai restaurants in U-district where the food always feels fresh and the service is great. The bartender is always down to chat and is very friendly. A must visit!
