Breakfast sandwiches are small, but tasty at least and filling. The bun is a biscuit, and spinach can be added for $1. The store area itself was clean and put together. Only drawback to the atmosphere was the homeless who seem to linger around the area. I personally had someone trying to panhandle both me and the person in front of me when we were about to order. The worker, though nice, said nothing.
Usually great, but today I received a half-melted room temperature açaí bowl. This is how melted it was after only a 7 minute walk home. (And it’s only 67° today). Disappointed for a $16 bowl.
I stop by Kitanda in the U District pretty often, and I’m always impressed by how fast and consistent they are. Even when it’s busy, the staff keeps things moving and the service is smooth.

They’re not super chatty, but they’re polite, quick, and get the job done right, which I actually prefer when I’m on the go. Great spot for a quick and tasty bite!
